I want to see him in the firsts, and I want him to stay there when Mummy comes back. He is part of the answer to our problems down the front.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

I think with the Sub rule if a team only takes one specialist ruckman into a game then we are probably going to see ruckmen getting rested quite a bit. The problem with playing one specialist ruckman is the length of time they spend on the ball. This is leading to injuries to the first ruckman, like the one to Mummy. He was sore got a shot and an infection. But there was soreness to start with. He also got injured last year and the soft tissue type from over work.

In saying that I think Pyke needs to come in this week as I think Seabs is pretty tired at the moment. You could try the two together or drop Seabs for this week.

I find that fixing up the middle is the important step in dealing with problems down the front, not to mention the strain on the back.

I can't be happy when players are dropped (It's not like they mean to play badly), but can get extremely happy when 'The Moose' is picked. Ever since his first practice match at Princes Park, a few hot summers ago. our family have loved his attitude and effort. Go Moose!!!

I thought he was developing really well into a good AFL player and shaking off that "I can't believe he's a Canadian rugby player" tag. A real shame that recurring injury has hampered his progress. Hope he has a great game this weekend and many more to come.
