I hate the extended squad thing. Makes me nervous about who's carrying injury into the game
You can't argue with a sick mind - Joe Walsh

This only bothers me when we are a bit shaky. Feeling pretty bothered today.

When we are up and going I feel really smug about our depth.

I sincerely hope that Walsh is not starting and I see TDL on the ground in the starting 18.

All Sunday teams have to name an extended bench, so it's not really indicative of injuries. However it is a real pain when trying to sort out your DreamTeam - often a mad rush after 5pm on Friday when teams are finalised. Not always a good idea when post- work drinks have already started too....

But it appears LRT keeps his spot, in the forwardline, with poor form and injuries being the story of his year so far...One has to wonder why?
PLAY LRT IN THE BACKLINE FOR CRYING OUT LOUD. THATS WHERE HE PLAYS HIS BEST FOOTY ALAH SEMI FINAL AGAINST SAINTS.

              Ow my ears.

With Pyke and LRT both named in the starting 18, it is 99.9% likely won't be cut tomorrow. So if Mumford is deemed fit, it looks like we will have 3 ruckmen in the side. I'm projecting a bench of Malceski, Armstrong, Mumford, Parker with Dennis-Lane, White and Walsh as emergencies.

And if your correct....It's on a day forecast as RAIN...Why is it that we continue to take extra talls into wet games?

Poor Sam Reid. Such a young kid doing tge hard yards every week. Imagine Barry, or Braddy or Micky O - at least one of them was still around to help this kid out. Im guessing Goodesy will play out his final years up front with Sam but ill tell you what, the kid is going to earn his stripes.

                    God I hope not!
The eternal connundrum "what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object" was finally solved when David Hasselhoff punched himself in the face.

Because he has to learn the things that Richmond couldn't teach him. He'd be still there if he didn't have a down side. Sure he can kick goals but anyone can in the two's. He has to learn what will make him valuable at senior level. I suspect he's a flat track bully. He needs to get all sides of his game right. He hasn't even been named as an emergency yet in spite of his bags of goals, and not once named in our best in the ressies so I suspect he's still got things to prove to the coaches. (I suspect Nipper is just not good enough)

I just wish our reserves played in a stronger competition, cause where they're playing at the moment doesnt prepare them for AFL

Nick Smith is named in the centre line!.....but McVeigh named in the backs.

Doesnt mean anything at all BH - happens most weeks. They've been naming players out of position in the line-ups for years.

I don't entirely agree with this.

We play Brisbane, GC and GWS for half the games. These are AFL reserves teams so should be definitely giving us a run for our money. Especially as they become more established in years to come.

On top of this NT Thunder and Queanbeyan are able to give us good games.

Yes but it does prepare them for playing for the swans. Last night on League teams Dermott mentioned the constant tension and issues faced by clubs wanting a dropeed player to play a certain way for their VFL/WAFL/SANFL team and that team wanting to win and therefore not really caring how the AFL club wanted them played.

As for stronger competition , while there is definiately a lack of depth, we arent exactly sitting on top undefeated.
