What is Harry's role in the ressies? I have to admit I haven't noticed him in a shut down role to date but happy to be corrected by Ugg/Primmy.
Also, I didn't really watch the ressies when Smooch started and most games were back in Canberra in the olden days. Did he practice as a tagger or was he midfield/HB?

In terms of developing the youngsters do they still come in as a run-with? I seem to recall players like Nipper/TDL etc just heading straight to the forward line.

And Smooch doesn't duck. He's a champ and going to be a 200+ game player for the Red and White.

I'm not saying he plays as a small defender, just that he seems to have the attributes that would make him successful in that position.

I believe Smith was the midfield general in the ressies.
The eternal connundrum "what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object" was finally solved when David Hasselhoff punched himself in the face.

Thanks BH. Your post got me thinking about how players are developed in the ressies and then come in to seniors. It seemed it was pretty typical a few years ago for a player to get a run-with roll under Roos but perhaps that is because we had few debutants for a few years there.
He isn't grabbing my eye when I've watched ressies so not entirely sure what roles Harry is playing/practicing at the moment.

They have this week questioned Jack Watts. From memory they said he didn't go hard enough at a couple of contests, suggesting he pulled out. I saw both incidents when highlighted and he looked to misread the ball coming into the contest.

On the subject of head hits and long term memory issues I don't think David King gets it.

Lucky I think Harry kind of pops up now and then and surprises us with the result. I haven't really noticed him in the ressies game and I have a theory on that. He just doesn't have a "look". He kind of blends in amongst the masses. Could be a secret weapon, a most unusual one if it is. But if I will make sure I watch with intent this weekend.

Smooch's "look" was a big head and a big toothy smile all the time. Kind of miss it. He is now so intent on blanketing his man now his face reminds me of Crouch. Endeavour only.

Cunningham can not play any more as Brown is back. If elevated in the place of Rohan he may play but the club has not elevated anyone in place of Gary. I think there is a conundrum for the club in that Shane Biggs has been playing far better than Harry in the Two's. I think Biggs is a natural to replace Gary.

Sorry Primmy but I do notice what Harry does in the Two's and he has done some good things but mainly has been wasteful in his delivery and has not provided a good enough contest when the opposition has the ball. A problem that many young players go through. I think Shane Biggs is far further along than Harry and should be elevated to the Seniors List. The kid has the smarts of a really good footballer and he can play mid or back! Bloody hell he is also tall and smart when he gets the ball and can take a really good contested mark!

What style/position do Biggs and Harry play?
                    Are they comparable?
I know Harry played fwd in the NAB cup games, and looked like he knew what he was doing.
We need more forward power, maybe why Harry's name is being banded around more than Biggs.
