I don't think anything we post here is going to change the way the club operates. But we are all swans supporters, and have every right to discuss, and air our opinions or thoughts. That's the whole point of a forum..... Sorry if that upsets you.

I'm not at all upset. I find some of it a bit tedious, but not upsetting. Sorry if my failure to be upset upsets you! :-)

And we are no different from any other club's supporters. The ongoing debate is what is great about our game.

The one million accredited AFL journalists, some of whom might have some inside info about a club or clubs, express similar views to us and are pretty much armchair critics like us. It is all grist for the mill.

I wonder if LRT has been reading RWO. His article on the Swans website explains his role beautifully.

Good call. However with Jenny keeping an eye on redandwhiter opinions I am sure she would have alerted the powers that be that there have been queries and discussions that a subjective article could cover.

We must be a very good source of subject matter for the website!

He was probably told by Ted. At least Spanger told me that's how he found out about The Strut.

Take a minute to think about it. If you were under 30 and there was a website where hundreds of people discussed you, do you think you would take a look? It must be hard when you are doing what the coaches and team expect you to do then to read scores of comments about how you're a waste of space on the team. I wonder if they have a scoreboard for this month's RWO whipping boy? Bevo, Tadhg, Mathews, LRT - even Stewie Maxfield I recall when he was struggling with injury. I'm sure there have been more? Oh White, Cheese, Saddo . . .

I guess you block it out like you do the booing when kicking for goal.

If I got payed what they do I'm sure a few negative comments on a minor supporters webpage wouldn't bother me too much. I think some of us overestimate our importance in the scheme of things.

I was just replying on whether players check out RWO. Yes they do (but probably mainly the ones who don't get paid that much).

Detailed below are LRTs stats and another "power forward" from a top team. IF stats are an indicator LRTs doing his job

Can anyone guess the other player??

I'll guess Chris Dawes, taking the meaning of top literally.

You mean the bloke who admits he should have been dropped based on those performances?

Dawes says he's lucky to play

                            Career 60 6.6 5.9 12.6 4.9 1.2 0.8 2.5 1.4 1.1 0.8

His career stats dont back up what hes saying. Slightly down on goals (1.2 per game) but not much else is different.

I dont pretend that LRT is as good as Dawes but my point is that LRT is not that far off the mark to be considered a liability.

I don't want to get into any further debates about LRT at the moment, but I don't rate Dawes as any better than average.

He's had an extremely comfortble run in one of the best teams of the modern era, his 2010 was good, he went missing in 2011, and has been poor in 2012 without Leigh Brown to take some of the pressure in the forward 50.

Of course he's still young and has time to turn it around, but if he'd been playing in a lower ranked team without consistent quality delivery into the forward line, I doubt he would be a regular senior player

I expect him to get picked the next week against Brisbane. Mainly because he will play a good game against GWS
