It is really hard to know what the right sentence was because we have nothing remotely similar to compare it to. But once the tribunal came down and determined it was indeed intentional, I was slightly surprised that he only got four weeks, given he had a 30% loading that could have been added (at the tribunal's discretion).

I recall last night that they used the normal point system and with his loading it went as high as 715 demerit points.

It was then discounted due to early plea and something else into the 400's.

Biffo originally got 10 weeks when he dog hit Staker and that was reduced to 7 or 8.

Jeeeeeeesus, the bagging this bloke is copping is unbelievable! Do you guys honestly believe that in the 2-3 seconds Judd chicken winged "Patch" Adams he had the wherewithal to think of all or either of dislocating his shoulder, bringing the game into disrepute, get suspended for a length of time and cop the wrath of idiots like Neil Mitchell from 3AW (who is a first class hypocrite like never before). It is quite clear in my eyes that Juddy's intention was to stop Adams from disposing of the ball, however he obviously went about it the wrong way. In my opinion, Carlton need to look at their wrestling coach - John Donohue - who they recruited from the Melbourne Storm. The Storm were also involved in many chicken wing incidents during the time that Donohue was their wrestling coach.

By the way, Cyril Rioli should have been done for a SIMILAR chicken wing incident against Will Minson on the weekend. EXACT SAME ACTION (ie. chicken wing tackle that went for 2-3 seconds), however the differences in this case were Minson was upright, big & strong and didn't have shoulder strapping on a dodgy shoulder, the Dogs didn't remonstrate and well, it is Cyril (AFL and umpires pet).

Once again, the tall poppy syndrome is alive and well on this site. And then we take offence when Goodesy (or another Swans player) does something clumsy and/or silly.....Go figure!

I love Juddy. Absolute STAR and great citizen. Can have split second brain fades sometimes - particularly the pressure points suspension - however a genuine, humble champion who does most things right in his life most of the time. That's all you can ask of a fellow human being.

The manlove is OTT. Juddy is one of the player greats of the past 25 years and a joy to watch. However, he seems to have a cruel, vicious and nasty streak. Don't think for one minute that the claw tackle was anything but intentional. He would have known ahead of the game that Adams was proppy in the arm. The excuse about trying to stop the player getting rid of the ball is faintly ridiculous and unworthy of Judd. Face facts. Judd has previous form for dog-like acts: 2007 incident, eye-gouging in 2009. With three strikes, he's out.

Carlton could well win the next two (against Bulldogs & Tigers) which would give them Finals hope. It would be sweet then if The Swans went and emphatically crushed those hopes

Hall had a 3 yr?? good behaviour record which got him down to 7, Judd still had loading, I imagine if Staker had broken his jaw, Hall would have got more

He deserved the time. He got away with one earlier in the season when Campbell Brown suddenly got amnesia. So this is a pay back really for that one. He did gouge and he did chicken wing. Nobody is perfect and even great players can do stupid things, look at Goodsie and the feet thing. He is out and that is all the better for us but we will still need to play them on their merits when we play them. But for now our focus should all be on the Saints!

I think the sentence is about right, but I'm just happy he won't be playing against us. I dislike intensely Carlton and their fans, and I'd love for us to go down there and give them a good old fashioned walloping, and in the process finish their hopes for the season.
