If I was going for balance , I wouldnt keep everitt in when second ruck is LRT. Personally I would go Parker and TDL in , everitt and mumford out. I think TDL can bring more to the table than everitt. Parker as sub.

I would also like to see white in for one last chance against a weaker team like the suns but I dont see it happenning unless they decided to swap LRT for him which is highly unlikely.

And for what its worth on the rucking debate, i think Pyke has surpassed Seaby as second best ruck. The last time seaby played first ruck he looked slow . I think the injury that prevented him being traded stops him being able to play first ruck anymore. Pyke takes a better contested mark , he tackles better and he is a better tap ruckmen. The only area seaby is now stronger is in kicking for goal.

But I dont believe we can win the premiership without Mumford and Pyke together in the side.

Parker clearly needs game time - it would make no sense to bring him in as the sub.

      Persoanlly hoping for:

      Outs: Mumford, Everitt
      Ins: Parker, TDL

      Bird or Malceski subs.

Bird wouldn't be out of place as the sub, the two times he has done it this season have been against the weaker teams in Melbourne and GWS where tagging one of their players isn't of paramount importance.

It will be interesting to see if we decide to tag Ablett - Birdy doesnt really have the leg speed anyway I guess. Maybe Smith? Would be great to throw Jetta on him and see what happens! I would guess we'd have 2 or 3 guys sharing the duties on Ablett, withour being necessarily a particularly hard tag. The guy is fairly unstoppable anyway...

Good call, suspect you will be correct. Parker and white in, Everitt and mummy out.

An assertion was made that you replace your leading centre bounce ruckman with a one dimensional small forward. This was done in the form of a silly schoolboy song. When questioned the answer was 'with a few Improvisations in that area'

I think it is reasonable to question that nonsense? Should I have done it in a silly song? Would that be less 'aggresive'?

The main thrust if the discussion has been whether we pick a ruck division 'just' for the suns or to prepare for finals. If just suns, a weak ruck will likely suffice. It won't hold up against the finals sides.

See that would add the warm fuzzy's and by pass the need for a silly song. You can't argue logic with forum posters.

Personally, I'm with you in that we will have a band aid ruck this week as Seaby is injured and Mummy is only a short term injury.

PS. Added the warm fuzzy at the end.
              Completely unnecessary garbage.
How about posting minus the rudeness and sarcasm next time? A bit of respect for fellow posters wouldn't go astray.

I'd like to see Benny McGlynn tag Ablett.

He's done the occasional tagging role in the past, and done it really well...And could hopefully hurt him the other way.

Not a bad idea, or maybe jack in a shoot out. Albett will get his usual lazy 30-40 touches anyway.

Considering making him Ablett DreamTeam captain, but I will do what I do most weeks - consider other players, then just leave Swanny as Captain anyway....

I guess you have to expect that he'll get 30-40 touches, you just have to try and limited the damage, limit his run, and hope most of his touches come in his own defensive half.

It's a shame that Parker has missed a lot of game time, I don't want to say this game is an easy win at all but I think it would have actually been a great learning opportunity for him to just run with and learn from one of the modern greats of the game in GAJ.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

                        Out: Mumford
                        In: Parker
LRT. Lord Roberts-Thompson. He may look like the Munster, but looks can be deceiving.

Great to see TDL come in.

Love to think it is between him and LRT to take that last spot in our best 22 when Mumford comes back (although LRT seems like a no brainer to the selectors).

TDL needs to take this opportunity with both hands.

He's probably on a hiding to nothing.

If he goes badly, it will look worse cos of the perceived quality of the opposition and if he goes well, it will be seen as because of the perceived quality of the opposition.
