Maybe he had a deal with Swans to not coach for three years (or contracted as Academy Coach until then)?

You would imagine that any number of clubs would be prepared to offer him quite a substantial wad.

Maybe he can fix up the Dees, the Dogs or Richmond (Port or Suns even)? I'd probably be OK with him generating some success for any of them but, gees, I'd feel a little disturbed if he turned up anywhere else.
Be careful wishing any success for Richmond. You think Pies fans are feral just watch the Tiger fans crawl from under their rocks if they ever get their act together. They've been @@@@ for the best part of 30 years so they've been reasonably quiet. I'm happy for them to be quiet for another 30.
..And the Swans are the Premiers...The Ultimate Team...The Ultimate Warriors. They have overcome the highly fancied Hawks in brilliant style. Sydney the 2012 Premiers - Gerard Whately ABC

Same one that asked Leigh Matthews as well back in 1999 and the same one that asked Malcom Blight in 1996 on Monday's Experts.

Yep, been at the MCG when we have lost to them and their fans were pretty bloody arrogant then, I couldn't imagine how painful they'd be with some success behind them.

Your entitled to your disdain but I don't share it. My brother is a long suffering, keen Tiges fan (not sure how that happened) so I like to share their good wins with him (except against us). If I were to name the 12 teams I most dislike. Richmond would not be on the list. And, they do have the second best victory song in the League.

I was at the 2010 debacle and, personally, I only saw happy Tiges fans (and stunned Swannies), not a lot of arrogance. I also sat in a corporate box one day when they stormed home against Essendon (which I do dislike intensely) in a qualifying or semi final (1999, I think). It was a stirring comeback from 6 or seven goals down at half time to win it running away.

I was at the Richmond game this year. A family was sitting right in front of us, and the (very young) son was obviously a very passionate Richmond supporter. The son laughed when a Swans player sprayed a set shot, and the father told him it's rude to do that. I heard some of their Cheer Squad spit on the players when they're not happy (can someone verify?) but I didn't think they were that bad. All Collingwood supporters are bad through and through though :P

Only at Danny Frawley when he was coaching. There was also the guy that dumped the truckload of manure outside of the Richmond Football Club about a decade ago.

Eddiewood supporters have a complex about poor oral hygiene. Speaking of toothless people, you want to keep your teeth, you need regularly scaling. That message was brought to you courtesy of the Dental Board.

As you see from my photo, I have mine scaled regularly every 3 months.

Back to Paul Roos and the Swans v Saints game in question, I was particularly annoyed (read. screaming at the tv) by the constant waffle coming from the mouths of Roos and Frawley. Pinhead Hudson could hardly commentate the game, as Beavis and Butthead would go on and on about crapola for 2-3 minutes while the game was being played.

That, coupled with the terrible tv production (ie. camera's not following the game) and tight contest made for one very frustated Swans fan watching Pox Footy! Word of advice Roosy, shut up when the game is in motion...

PS. I love Paul Roos. Champppiiioooonnn.

Yeah not sure why all the hate for the tigers. I quite like them, and their fans are brilliant and deserve success. To turn out every week in those dark days knowing their pathetic is brilliant by them. I honestly hope they see success very soon. Cotchin is my favourite non swan.
LRT. Lord Roberts-Thompson. He may look like the Munster, but looks can be deceiving.

My ideal commentary team for Swans games would be Skilton, Roos, David Murphy, with special comments by Troy Luff and Gerard Healy & Brett Kirk boundary riding for interviews.

Happy to have the sound up with them in the box
