Watson obviously didn't see their game last week. Talking words and not making any sense.Nothing like a good light bulb moment.Comment

He had observed that people who did lie were, on the whole, more resourceful and ambitious and successful than people who did not lie.Comment

Someone should hit Mattner across the head with a rolled up newspaper. That was lucky it was not a goal.Nothing like a good light bulb moment.Comment

I'm not sure I've seen a more undisciplined relatively experienced side than what we're seeing from Carlton today. Just amazing lazy football, most of the frees against for them have just been from stupid play- is there any leadership at that club?I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his timeComment

Not a great qtr overall but we had them on toast about 20 minutes in.
Crowd doing well for Carlton - they are getting some softies. How Murphy got a free in the clash with LRT is bloody incredible. Mumford's handball to Shaw under intense pressure was just silly. Pyke battling well but gee when he gets it their backmen set up. He might be better played deep at FF when not rucking.
We SHOULD win from here but the crowd have their hackles up and no one knows what the umps might do then.Comment

Aaaargh!
It almost got too easy at times early in that second quarter. And then the Carlton pressure increased a little, as did the Sydney fumbles and the decision making deteriorated. Our defence can normally be depended upon for 10 minutes or so of trying to get themselves in trouble. Let's hope that's this week's effort done and dusted.
Swans have also been pretty wasteful in front of goal with some golden opportunities. All bar a couple of our behinds really should have been goals.Comment
