Just returned from the game. Not sure how much was shown on the tele but the boys were very sore and sorry as the final quarter dragged on. Goodes spent a big part of his time on the forward line, walking and testing his legs. Hard to tell if his quad or the corky from last week was worrying him but he didn't look comfortable. Surprised he could get a jog up at all. Pyke was also proppy at the end of the game. I wish we had longer than six days to get ready for the pies......

According to the Herald Sun, "Swans prevail over plucky Blues".

          Sigh.

I hope Jude hasn't done an ACL. It was heartening to see him walk off without crutches but I fear the worst.

Agreed! The slow mo replays showed a lot of top dressing sliding about.

If this was a final I would have been happy. HOWEVER we will need to lift for next week if we want to show our premiership credentials...

Doc Larkins has been wrong before. A good sign Jude was walking (I know it's Jude!). Let us wait for the scans. Is this the same knee which saw him withdraw from the Gold Coast game last year?

LRT. Lord Roberts-Thompson. He may look like the Munster, but looks can be deceiving.

Worried against the Pies. We looked very sore in that final term. We played great for the first 3 quarters though. Everyone sharing the load, no baggage. The umpiring in the final quarter was abysmal

Not our best performance- a bit patchy with a few sloppy periods, but what this team has learnt to do (and it is always a hallmark of a good team) is win when not playing anywhere near their best. We were comfortably better than Carlton, despite not playing anywhere near our potential overall.

We did look very sore towards the end- hope the boys back up well next week. A victory against the Ferals next week would leave us on the cusp of a guaranteed top 2 finish with a victory over the Dogs the following week. A massive game- one in which we can make a big statement!

Some terrible home team umpiring as well - but we always looked the better team all day, despite what the dribblers in the commentary box may have thought.

We don't want to be peaking in the middle of August - the end of September would be much better!

"You get the feeling that like Monty Python's Black Knight, the Swans would regard amputation as merely a flesh wound."

Jude will get a LARS knee, be back in time for the granny.

Unfortunately being able to walk does not indicate a lesser injury in regards to ACLs. Paul Kelly jogged off the SCG when he did his ACL. Not looking good
