I suppose it will depend on Pies height whether we get Armstrong or Everitt. They are the two most frequently called upon so far this season. If Armstrong is in that would allow Parker to take Jude's in-and-under role and Malceski take a bit more midfield and Armstrong to do Malceski's set-up role off half back/wing. I don't think Horse will be keen on any debutants at this late stage, or even first timers. No Morton, Mitchell, Cunningham. Only possibilities between now and October will be Seaby, White, Everitt, Armstrong & Spangher
Anyone care to comment on LTR's development as a forward? ...a running goal, if you don't mind. Struth, I almost coughed up my new teeth. Perhaps he has been ready some of the posts here and is trying to win us over. Oh yeah, after all the negative banter several of us said about those WANKERS, Carlton last week....SUFFER IN YOUR JOCKS BLUES!Comment

It is interesting you said that. I noticed in the great game Mal played after his stint in the reserves, a couple of times when he got the ball and Jetta ran forward on the right to receive, Mal either ingnored or didn't see him and just took the ball forward himself. Since then Jetta's spectacular runs with a goal at the end have dried up. Now I know that Jets has been getting closely tagged and it doesn't really matter how the ball gets forward, but if there is even a little bit of substance to our observations it would suggest that individual players and their styles do have an impact on how those around them play.Comment

I know his papers have probably been stamped by now, but would it be worth bringing in Moore for Jude? Yes, he is slow, but he is not a witches hat, and we would be replacing an experienced player with a player with a good footy brain.Comment

I looked at the video of LRT's running goal, on the club website, and one of the three contenders for Play of the Day. I share your enthusiasm for the goal on the run, and started thinking about how he came to be in position. I suspect that he has become a good reader of the game over the years in defence, saw which way the ball was headed and made sure that he was handy when Jetts came to a roadblock. Great effort. He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)Comment

Yes bring back Andrej the Giant and Armstrong.
Nick Smith to the centres.
I thought Goodes has to be carrying an injury as he had no speed yesterday.
I hope Mattner and McGlynn are made to sit through their clanger tape from yesterday. We'll be flogged if they repeat that next week.Comment

Call me a pessimist, but I worry that the high emotions surrounding the suspension might spur the remainder of the Collingwood players on. Nevertheless, Swans to beat the Pies,(minus Swan), by 2 points.Comment

In: Armstrong
Out: Bolton
Maybe Shaw gets pushed into the midfield for a tagging role (which he has successfully done before), Craig Bird goes in as a defensive, but potent forward (Jude's role) and Tony gets Rhyce's running role.
Hopefully Pyke is okay!
