You are correct Royboy, Reid did say he will miss this week. The young bloke looked nervous in front of the camera, so lets hope he got his words a little mixed up and he is back this week.

    In: Reid, Morton
    Out: TDL, Armstrong.

Would like to keep Armstrong in the team, but at this stage, I think we need another forward in the team, instead of a back flanker.

We shouldn't need him this week, so I'd be happy to leave in rest another week, and be 100% for the last 2 H&A games.

I agree. Shouldn't play this week. They should rest Goodes as well if he is injured.
Nothing like a good light bulb moment.

This is the ideal game to rest anyone who needs a rest. We should beat the Dogs by 60-80 points - they are now giving their youngsters a run with a look to the future. We should be bringing at least 1 or 2 depth players such as Spangher, Morton and/or (ahem) Everitt to ensure they get a decent run before the finals. Goodsey probably needs a rest - it wouldn't hurt to rest 1 or 2 others if needed to get over niggles/soreness/minor injuries etc before the finals.

Bird always gets stuck with the green vest. He is very valuable to us, I hope he stays with us for the near future.

Generally the least changed teams heading into finals have the most success. I agree with resting the oldies though - maybe someone in the vest and play a half each with another oldie.
The eternal connundrum "what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object" was finally solved when David Hasselhoff punched himself in the face.

Yes DA he kicked 6 and had a hand in a few others. He was a bit selfish on a few occasions but you show me a goal-sneak who isn't. Stevie J, Eddie Betts, Didak etc the list goes on, they suddenly get hand cramp when it comes to handball.

White had a great game in the Two's I think he was probable BOG.

I believe Goodsie is carrying an injury, even just a twinge and it interferes with his running. I don't know how many times I saw him half pace chasing and then speed up only to slow after a short burst. On a couple of occasions he felt hid hamstring.

If Goodsie is injured I would bring Jesse in.

In; Jesse White, Mitch Morton & Sam Reid (If fit, if not retain Tony Armstrong) or Nathan Gordon

Out; Adam Goodes (if Injured), Terrance Denis-Lane & Tony Armstrong

Just a wee problem young Dyl is not on our list he is an academy player and toppy for the resies. Nice try though. I think you might like to suggest Lambchop though as he is playing very well.

I think we can count on Birdy staying. The selectors love him, and he didn't get the No. 14 guernsey for no reason at all.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

Just a had a brainwave! Keep all the young blokes plus Teddy and give all the old ones a reserves game so they can have a rest. Bring in the listed players from the Two's and see how they go.

Seriously, I think Lamb is ready! We could do worse than to bring him in for his first game.

Longmire has already flagged that he is 'tweaking', not experimenting, so I wouldn't expect too many changes. Looks like Reid is a good chance to come in if he gets through the week okay.
I think Longmire is a very good coach, but disagree with him on this aspect. I think he misses opportunities to try out players and changes in positions when conditions are ripe, such as this game coming up. This is the last chance for any sort of experimenting. We have players in the reserves all year waiting for a chance to see how they might fit into the squad, particularly Morton and Spangher, and perhaps even Meredith, who has played well of late. Some senior players, Jetta perhaps, could use a brief spell. I would doubt if any moves involving these players will have any effect on the outcome of the match. Percentage no longer matters; we will finish with the second best pct behind Hawthorne unless something crazy happens.
