I agree. I think Cloke is a Wally. So is his old man. Have not Sydney got a "No d....kheads" policy?

They chose to put their faith in Sam Reid as a long-term option. I don't like the idea of two big forwards on long-term contracts, especially when Cloke will come at a big cost at a time when we have a few young players whose value is rapidly increasing.

For better or worse, they need to build around Reid. Cloke is not the answer.

Do we really need Cloke? We play 4 talls up thee now, what's the problem? It's not like we're losing that often and struggle to kick goals, the average Goals per game is the best it's ben for years. If he was 21 - 23 and could grow with the other young blokes well and good, but we don't need his million dollar ego

Cloke at 70% is a much better forward than LRT at 100%. You're having a laugh.

Why all the fuss about his family and this no dickhead policy that only exists when we want it to? Are we trying to build a premiership winning team or a childrens hospital? He's the missing piece of the puzzle (or Tippett) that could bring us ultimate success if we don't win the flag this year.

            I'd probably prefer Tipett then

With our set up and the way we get the ball forward, Cloke would do very well. He'd also take a lot of pressure off Reid.

I can't see how you could fit Cloke and his arguably $1m per year into our salary cap, which is going to be stretched if we are going to retain Kennedy, Mumford, etc. Allowing for players to retire - White, Seaby, Moore, Spangher - and maybe one other, who would all be covered with our current playing group, we would still have to hand over a gun younger player. High price to pay. On the flip side, you would have a premiership side. Tempting scenario.

I have to agree, I'm not a big fan of Trav but the idea of having one established freakish contested marking target playing with an up and coming freakish contested marking target is a pretty attractive idea.

The idea of the two of them playing on the SCG is pretty crazy, being able to have one or the other playing high pretty much permanently through games would give an amazing outlet option to our backline.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

Yeah, it would be as good as having Hall at CHF and Plugger at FF. That went really well.

I understand what you're saying, but have to disagree. The leading patterns of Cloke/Reid are chalk and cheese to those of Plugger/Hall.

Cloke is playing very ordinary football tonight. Looks slow and disinterested.

I think there was a similar thread a year or two about some bloke called Fevola. I'm glad we didn't sign him and I'll be just as glad when Cloke doesn't come here...
