GAME DAY thread Swans v Cats Round 23

Well up early today after the U16 boys in the Cypress league won through to the Grand Final last night. That means all 3 competition teams will play in Grand Finals next weekend.

I take full credit with inspiring them through my singing and 80's dance moves.

Well the day of reckoning has come.

Either way the Swans will play the Crows next weekend. Either at home or in Adelaide. I don't think the Crows have a great deal of fear playing in Sydney but they haven't played at ANZ before.

A loss next week will mean playing the winner of Cats and Norf. A win means a week off.

I don't think we will miss Reid that much today but will have a huge fight on our hands.
Nothing like a good light bulb moment.

Congrats to the boys, and your dance moves.
Will be interesting to see who horse starts on the pine.

Frankly, if we can't win today, Malthouse will have been right about us.

It's second playing sixth, and second has a superior percentage due to both points scored for and against. At this time of year, that's supposed to mean something.

      The venue is irrelevant.

3AW reporting Bird very nervous about the Cats today.

You would not expect anything different.

Really worried about Stevie J now - Shaw may have a big task on his hands!

Bad news about Nick. Big loss out.

Good that Tommy will be given a full run.

Larkins on 3AW is saying that Nick has been omitted rather than injured but he was going to check. His name was left off the team sheet.

Nick, omitted. He must have that wrong. Was in our best last week, and had an important role today.

That's not good. Do we put Johnson on Johnson?

This is just in via @sydneyswans Twitter feed:
Tony Armstrong replaces Smith. Parker the sub.

In our best pretty much every week. Certainly not omitted. And not good news.

Just got down to Geelong and have already been abused by a granny. Should be a fun time.

The venue is VERY relevant when they have won 35/36 games played in recent years!

What are the weather conditions like down there today? If it is windy, there is a definite advantage for the team that knows the ground so well.
