Tip of the hat to the man who kicked the winning goal in that famous game.
Part of a select group as a red and white premiership hero.Comment

Great little player, who had a great sense of occasion.
Sad he didn't finish a Swan.Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it's time to pause and reflect... MTComment

Always remembered as the Swan who kicked the winning goal in our first premiership in 72 years. Always a Blood. Wishing him all the best.Occupational hazards:
I don't eat animals since discovering this ability. I used to. But one day the lamb I was eating came through to me and ever since then I haven't been able to eat meat.Comment

I will never forget that goal in the grand final (or the performance he put in that day). I look at the Premiership picture from that day that hangs on my wall everyday, and I immediately see in my mind that brilliant little duck to evade the tackle and the true snap he made.
About 5:20 in on the video below. Just watching that video made me realise how good a goal that goal before it from Big Bad Barry was. A pressure kick if there ever was one.

Good luck after footy Monty! You certainly will never be forgotten by any member of the Red and White faithful. The man that kicked the goal that broke our 72 year premiership drought. That is a story to tell for the ages"You get the feeling that like Monty Python's Black Knight, the Swans would regard amputation as merely a flesh wound."Comment

Good luck Monty and I wish you were able to stay a Swan, which we all consider you to be anyway. Winning Goal in the 4th Quarter and the look on y our face is a sight that stays with me.
