I dont remember being this nervous before a game.

Cant imagine how the players are feeling. Especially the kids like AJ and Parker.

Wore my 2012 members hat in the car all from Melbourne yesterday. Received three or four toots from passing motorists and saw quite a few busloads of strange looking humanoids who ma or may not have been homo sapiens.

Also had a great yarn with a terrific bloke in red and white at a Yass pub where I stopped for dinner. He said he trained with South in the 60s and played three reserve grade games. He was pumped and was also en-route to our Homebush destiny.

I am surprisingly relaxed today and feeling very confident that I'll be at the MCG next Saturday.

        Are we there yet?????
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.

Just booked a flight to Melbourne! Have NEVER done that in previous years. Well, I've done my bit, now the Swans just have to do theirs

I'm at work in my office in my Swans polo. The hat and scarf are in my bag. As Meat Loaf sang, I'm all revved up with no place to go, until 5pm anyway. Carn Swannies!!!

My only superstition is to avoid mention of MACBETH . Oops , I meant "The Scottish Play".

              Don't mention Macbeth - Blackadder - BBC - YouTube

I have a couple. I'm not booking flights until I know we're in, and I'm not talking GF at all. I'm getting nervous just sitting here reading this thread!

                        Sydney BOM Forecast for today

                        Summary
                        Max 27
                        Cloudy periods, possible light shower.
                        Chance of any rain: 20%

                        Sydney area

Cloudy periods, with some sunny breaks developing late morning or early afternoon. The chance of a shower. Winds northwesterly 15 to 25 km/h shifting south to southwesterly 20 to 30 km/h during the afternoon and evening.

So rain is forecast but it may not last and as a matter of fact is raining as I type. The winds are going to increase as the day goes on and if they are 30k/h in Sydney city they will probably be stronger out at Homebush. Good luck to all the fans going out to the game tonight, unfortunately I cannot afford finals when they get to this stage. I will be watching on the tele though! By the way the rain will probably clear later today as it seems to do at this time of year.

Of those that aren't going to the game are you going to a pub to watch the game?

I see blue sky out west, it'll clear up and warm up in no time.

27 degrees is out of the question though.
