I was at the hawks v swans prelim when the gulls were particularly bad, and a guy 2 rows in front of me (who was a swans supporter) got crapped on his face. Made things even worse for him when we lost. And I was paranoid the rest of the night thinking it would happen to me.
I was at the game when the Hawks ran over the Eagles, and by a big margin the best Eagle at the ground was the one on the roof. Any sign of gulls drifting in and the handler got up, the eagle flapped his wings and the gulls skedaddled.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

The young girls in front of us at the Hawks Swans final took off their jackets once they realise they had bird crap on them.

We're at a distinct disadvantage. No self respecting bird would bother crapping on the other mobs colours....

Maybe there is a tiny disadvantage to every interstate team having to play the final in Melbourne where they are not only away from home, but a huge percentage of seats are taken up by MCG members who will largely follow Melbourne teams - so we will be outnumbered in support.
You forgot to mention we are playing on the Hawks home ground!

It isn't going to matter if we spread our big guys Gibson has to take a player as we have goodes, Reid, LRT & resting ruck. He must take a player or allow a player to be alone on the spread and we will punish them if they do that.

Geez, watching Goodes at training the other night, he was scintallating, is this his tour de force performance?

I was thinking if Rolls Royce, Hummer and Ferrari combined to make a car, they'd have to call it the "Goodsey" wouldn't they?

It'd be red with a white racing stripe too......

I hope you're right - would love to see Goodsey tear it up this Saturday after an up and down year for him.....

A Norm would certainly round off his medal collection nicely.

As was pointed out to me, our glorious Cheer Cheer includes the line

Shake down the Thunder from the Sky!!

Which really means that if the GF is played in thunderbolts and lightning, then we will be in our element.
