..And the Swans are the Premiers...The Ultimate Team...The Ultimate Warriors. They have overcome the highly fancied Hawks in brilliant style. Sydney the 2012 Premiers - Gerard Whately ABC
I am so proud of the boys I could just about burst!!! My wonderful father-in-law who passed in 2009, was a life long Swans fan (since the 1950's) would be smiling down on the lads right now. RIP dear old fella, we did it again!!!!
Loving my mighty Bloods!!! PREMIERS 2012. Love the way that sounds!! Party long and hard fellow Swans supporters. We surely deserve it!!!
I might have a slight drinking problem. My husband asked me to toast some bread for him...so I raised my wine glass and said "Here's to bread!"

A couple of happy Swans fans... What an unbelievable day.
Top pic!!! Uncle Big Al was a bag of nerves and young Jordan was as excited as any kid could be. Such a great day! Look forward to seeing those heading up the Hume with scarves dangling from the back windows!!!
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

For some reason I am somewhat hungover this morning. But WOO H-errrrmm, woo hoo! I confess to being steeled for a noble defeat whilst of course hoping for a win - but our Swannies do not let us down in the clinch. And how nice I'm in Australia this GF victory! What a win.
Something has to be said about the Swans supporter?s at the game. In a word MASSIVE. Be they Sydney Swans or Melbourne Swans we?re a special group.

What a great day. I was up in the nosebleeds but was staggered at the amount of red and white. The Swans cheering simply drowned out the Hawks every time and whenever we scored a goal the ground seemed to erupt. My daughter made me hang around to see the concert afterwards which was great and driving home along the Eastern Freeway with scarves out the window, I was able to see so many cars with the same. What a great day.
The good thing is, I think we are a year or two ahead of schedule!
I grew up watching South at the Lakeside oval as we regularly got belted, full of character but easy beats, hanging around the past players shed on the southern wing, waiting for Dad to emerge with his father's former team mates. Then the sadness of South leaving for the harbour city. The post match recognition of South Melbourne (again) from the leaders was brilliant yesterday. What a game! We were magnificent. Hoarse from screaming support at the game and belting out the song all night. Such a great day! How good is it to say we've won FIVE premierships! FIVE! Still can't believe it. Sydneyyyyyyy!!!!!!
