Don't know about the single GF DVD in 05, but the 05 victory pack Gf has the alternative commentaries as does this years single DVD.

        2005
        1. single DVD release - TV commentary
        2. single DVD - multi commentary
        3. victory pack - multi commentary (but only the GF)

I know because I have them all. The release spacing certainly worked in terms of sales to me.

I have the original single and the victory pack, and both mine have the single commentary option.

                Ha.

AFL media might release the 12 cassette tape Victory pack of all 3 finals, with the all 4 radio commentaries of each match.

I'm sure they would if they thought there was money to be made out of it.

Channel 7 only shoot in standard def then upscale a HD feed to Foxtel Footy HD. Agree with Bloodlines it is complete rubbish. They probably do it to discourage people moving to Foxtel - why pay to watch crap picture on Foxtel when you can watch the same on 7 for free. BluRay will be a complete waste of money. You only hhave to watch the channel TEN feed of the Rugby to see how great a 1080i HD can look for sports.

I heard that seven shot it in HD, as fans in America were able to watch it in HD, just down scaled for us to keep us all on the one channel

If not no biggie, bluray was only 10 bucks more.

That's what i heard as well. Was actually shot in HD but because of ratings they telecasted it in SD on their main channel

I watched the game live in the UK on ESPN no doubt the same feed they would have used in the US. It was SD quality.

                            They've moved the posts.
DVD Land now say it's being released on 5/11/2012.
                            I think it's time I gave them a call.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.

Yes, the DVD is available from JB Hi-Fi in the City, but not a blu-ray. The staff didn't know when it's going to be released (if at all).
