Alex Johnson's smother in the last quarter that put his elbow out...had to get it taped.

McVeigh smother that dislocated his little finger.

Adam's little toe poke to the luckiest man in the AFL at the end of the second quarter is my favourite even though it is classified as a kick. His spatial awareness is up there with Rioli's

Does Goodesy playing with a torn PCL count?

My first thought on seeing the thread title was (ahem) Marty's tackle but Mitch's 2 v 1 & Jetta's tap on were also worthy. There was also an excellent tackle by LRT in the first 1/4 but he missed the shot from the resultant HTB free kick. That's probably not a 1% though as the tackle is a stat (so then neither is Mattner's.....d'oh!!)

doesn't detract one bit from an awesome effort by the great one.

I don't think Mitch would have kicked either of his goals if Goodesy hadn't pointed to the sticks

Does pointing qualify as a 1%er?

OK, if not Mattner's tackle, then the knock on to himself prided it away from Birchall which allowed him the time and space to pick it up and kill the contest by getting himself tackled over the line.

As the starter of this thread, and having chosen a very unconventional example to get the ball rolling, I'm prepared to adopt a very liberal definition of the one per center as it pertains to Premiership glory.

I'm very worried by the rather more traditional examples offered in this thread that posters haven't watched the replay nearly enough times - so here are two more that push the boundaries. Once again, Mal, final quarter, finds himself on the turf, Hawks player just about to shoot out a handball to set up an attacking move - Mal reaches over and scoops the ball out of the Hawks player's hand! Brilliant!

And that other King of the 1%er, Marty M - dispossesses a Hawk, gets to his feet with nowhere to go, runs straight into two Hawks and gets hammered - unquestionably knew he would get nailed but knew he had to take the contact to force the stoppage. Sometimes, the little pain adds up to a big moment.

Ooooh, I'm still working away and haven't seen the replay yet but I'm drooling over all these that have been thrown up.

Mattner vs Birchall is the pivotal play at the absolute pivotal time and situation.

What a great buy from Adelaide, Neil Craig didn't rate him, glad our recruiters did!

Only ten more days until I go home and can relive that glorious afternoon.
