I haven't seen Khan play so can't really form an opinion, but as we still have Jesse on our list, would we really need him?

Maybe he's being looked at as an option if Tippett isn't available. Everyone seems to be assuming he'll be a Swan this time tomorrow - give or take an hour - but I wouldn't be completely shocked if Brisbane took a punt.

I think you could be right, although do you think they may be a little gun shy given the Fevola debacle?

This is my thought also. I just don't see the Lions board agreeing with it after all the crap that hit the fan after Fevola.
Having said that, a very good friend of mine is a Lions member and he's convinced they will grab him.

If I am a kid in Sydney and I want to play for the Swans...........

            a) I need to love in the Eastern Suburbs or North Shore and or Northern Beaches to attend Swans Academies as these are the specified swans regions ?

            b) I can grow up outside of sydney or in the West or South but would need to put down my address as per the above regions

ie if I lived in the Blue Mtns but didnt want to play for GWS I could easily do my final year of school then move to the inner city to live and attend Sydney Uni and then go for the draft the year after ie at 19yrs of age?
You can also live in the southern suburbs as they are part of the Swans' area too. GWS have the south-west.
Today's a draft of your epitaph

Do you think the rules governing the number of listed players that can play against non-AFL NEAFL teams is a factor?

It is probably a factor, though we play each of the other AFL clubs three times, accounting for around half the pre finals games. I suspect cost is a factor together with a perceived optimum ratio of young players to development coaching resources.

He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

Think your probably right (yes again), there's nothing in any article that says when the Swans were expressing interest in Khan. And I can't see the Swans genius' not having a plan B in case the Tippett thing goes up in smoke.
I'd like to see another Sydney boy in the AFL, but I reckon Dennis would love to see this particular sydney boy in the seniors.
