Sheese I just thought it was wonderful and quirky use of language and it was autocorrect instead! I feel strangely depressed by this news......

the more he is out there the more confident he will become on his leg. At first he will be a bits tentative because of losing the safeguards but the longer he runs without them the more confidence he will accrue. A long way back but in the end it will be worthwhile for the young bloke. I have had a look at the incident a few times and it makes me cringe as I see his ankle bend. They talk about Goodes sliding, that was worse than anything Goodsie ever did, it was a highly dangerous slide.

Agree wolftone, still disgusts me that it has been forgotten so fast by many and he didn't even miss any weeks. I doubt Thomas meant to break Rohan's leg but but it was stupid and wreckless and could have been avoided.

Not really on topic, but I was remembering the christmas video the club did SwansTV: Merry Christmas from the Swans - SYDNEYSWANS.com.au and I can't get over how big Gaz looks standing next to Sammy Reid. According to their profiles there's 6cm between them, but that certainly doesn't look to be the case in the video. Any chance the whole "broken leg" thing was a cover up for surgically lengthening his shins?

Thought the same thing at the time.

I thought he could be an excellent FF, but with the size he's at I have no doubt. With Tippett it'll be interesting to see the role he eventually takes.
The eternal connundrum "what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object" was finally solved when David Hasselhoff punched himself in the face.

Maybe they all should go to the hairdresser of Tony Armstrong - that would add some apparent size!

Kind of an indirect reality check for Gazza - it was reported on the radio tonight that the Broncos' Jharal Yow Yeh, who suffered a similar horrific compound fracture last year, has had to go under the knife again for 'clean up work', and his return to the field is not expected any time soon. It just made me think about Gazza and the amount of work he still has to do to get back, and if he does it this year to any great level he'll deserve a medal. Fingers crossed for him....

It seems that Dale Morris is set to return after breaking his leg in a similar way to Rowan 18 months ago. I read an article a couple of months back about Dale's recovery. It seems that Dale started in the Alter-G running machine after only around 3 months after the injury, while Gazza started 7 months after his injury. Morris suffered from a stress fractures that delayed his recovery. It seems that we are really taking is slowly with Gazza, which hopefully will mean a full recovery without any setbacks. It will be interesting to see how Morris goes. I hope he does well. He always seemed like a really nice person and the kind of player that would fit well with the Swans culture.

Morris was interviewed on the Bulldogs website and said that he has maintained contact with Garry Rowan and will compare their respective progress this year. He said that his speed and agility are back to where they were before the injury, which bodes will for Gazza.
