He had observed that people who did lie were, on the whole, more resourceful and ambitious and successful than people who did not lie. -
Strangely, if you go from the link earlier in the thread to the Suns website it works - sort of. Still buffers a bit but the audio is OK. Doesn't make any sense why the Swans link has failed.Comment

It's (sort of) working again, but still lots of stuttering.
They just spoke to Mitch Morton at half-time. Mentioned he'd had a back problem a few weeks ago, but is back training now. Didn't know the extent of AJ's injury, just mentioned leg. Bird also came off with a head knock.Comment

I've gone behind the goals to have a look at Jesse. His work rate seemed to be outstanding in the 1st half..And the Swans are the Premiers...The Ultimate Team...The Ultimate Warriors. They have overcome the highly fancied Hawks in brilliant style. Sydney the 2012 Premiers - Gerard Whately ABC

Update from the Swans FB page to put everyone's minds at ease:
Good news - Alex Johnson is out of the rooms and is up in the stands.
He's out of tonight's game, but a great sign for the young defender.
We'll have more info on AJ after the match.Comment

Trying to be 'half glass full' here. A few minutes ago I was sitting about 20 metres from AJ. His left knee was wrapped up. He was limping but not in pain. Certainly not a broken leg (as suggested on the AFL website). At worst a bad knee injury. If so, and if he elects the laz surgery, he should be back by mid season.Comment

could be a hyper flex of the knee - which is only 2 to 4 weeks max"be tough, only when it gets tough"

Hmmm, not a great qtr that one for the Swans.
McVeigh playing really well and suprisingly so is Jesse White - he really is getting into the contests and doing a fair bit of ruck work. I have some concerns about Sam Reid at this stage - he is seeming to drop a fair few marks - hopefully he is just 'rusty'.
Armstrong linking up well - I can see him taking Shaw or Mattner's place when they retire. Probably not as good as either but he is promising.Comment

According to the stats McVeigh is playing an absolute blinder - wonder why he hasn't been subbed off by now.
