Wish I had a copy of Adam Spencer's speech, just amazing. Plus, the preview of the season launch video, which is a montage of the Grand Final, audio of both coaches and players during the breaks, is fabulous. Keep an eye out for it, should be on Foxtel tonight. All in all, a great night!

I just hope the AFL Rules Committee doesn't get wind of this. In an effort to "open the game up" and keep the scores flowing, they may decide to introduce a quota on pressure acts - when a team has had 50, say, in a quarter it isn't allowed any more tackles, smothers, chase-downs or spoils...

I'm sure Demetriou is working on it as we speak!

Annie was there, but she was too busy stalking Joey to notice what was going on!! He's the nicest bloke. I have all the time in the world for Joey.
Ana wasn't there Al ... hence the stalking.

Another great night. If you can afford it peeps, this, and the B&F are two functions you should try to attend.

The players aren't talking about last year. Yes, it was great... we won the granny, but that's all in the past. The whole club is looking forward and just concentrating on this year. We'll celebrate the granny win on 6 April... and that's just about it.

I saw Jessie and welcomed him back into the fold. He's happy that he's staying and he's 100% committed. At the B&F last year, we all said our good-byes. I'd like to see him get another shot in the firsts.... trouble is finding him a spot. He's had a great pre-season.

I had a big chat to Jets... baby is due in August.... NOT September. He planned it that way.

Jude is roaring to go. Always a pleasure having a chat to Jude. I told him that if anyone calls him a pensioner, I'll be slapping their faces.

Had a chat to little Ranga... told him I was a bit upset that they put him on the long term injury list. He said that they will elevate a rookie, and when he's ready (maybe second half of the season), they'll demote the rookie and put him back on the list. He's running and not in any pain. Always a lovely kid.

Had a chat to Teddy and met Xavier (what a little(?) cutie... he's taller than Ted). I asked Xavier "have you met Ted?" He laughed and said best movie ever. What a good start!! Such promise.

They gave all the players a copy of MickyO's book. (Yes, I did ask a few if they can read.) I saw MickyO yesterday at a pub in town and told him that each player received a copy of his book. Micky was stoked. (Micky didn't attend the function - he was in Melbourne. He'll also miss the beginning of the season as he's going to Europe with the AIS.

Beards-a-plenty. Half the team look like extras from the Ned Kelly movie!! Little Mummy has a big red beard. I hope he dyes it before Round 1.

                Top night.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
