BTW - I missed the story. What happened? Are we talking about getting in a scuffle? Getting thrown out of a bar as someone who was too intoxicated? Or are we descending into Julian O'Neill/Nate Myles territory?
From what I read, The Big Mummy got pissed and was asked to leave a few establishments...No talk of scuffles, pooh in shoes, public urination, or the like.....All a bit ho hum really.

I'd expect a big game from him this week.

Hopefully his season will now pick up...It needs to, because when Tippett starts playing, there will be stiff competition for Mummy.
Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it's time to pause and reflect... MT

Hopefully he's learnt his lesson - dont go out in Melbourne, people might recognize you. Keep your indiscretions to Sydney!

Good to see a bit of normality in the life of big Mummy.

A young bloke having a few too many ales with mates, big deal.

Well thank heavens for that! I have been waiting for the other shoe to drop for far too long now, and Mumms has done it at last. Probably with a grin from ear to ear and wearing lime green shoes to go with the tragic facial do.

            I can relax.

I don't see this as a big deal. I actually believe AFL players are over regulated. They can't even have a few ales anymore. For the majority of the season Alcohol is banned and I think that is a bit stupid. It is treating them like kids. Mummy is 27 years old and so he got pissed, big deal. he doesn't do it often and probably just needed to let off steam. If Vlad really wants to slow the game down he should bring the social drinks after the game back.

You don't ban those who supported your opponent, you make them wallow in their loserdom by covering your victory! You sit them in the front row. You give them a hat! Toby Ziegler

I like that Horse called him "Shane" - having read Pyke calling him "Mumford" I thought Mummy might be on the outer, probably just the way they say things in Canadia.

Disturbed to see that Horse was reportedly "rapt" with Lamb. Either he or the journo are not following the long standing football tradition that see's people wrapped or rapped with a great performance. Its an outrage. A wrap over the knuckles is in order.
Before you criticize a man, walk a mile in his shoes. That way you'll be a mile away and he'll be shoeless.

Surely theres more to this than just getting on the sauce, something has to have happened for it to even get back to the club.If Mummy was just having a few beers with mates thats not an issue when the teams on a 10 day break.Or do we think theres a complete alcohol ban?

He just had a few too many and got knocked back by a few night clubs no drama. But does need to find form very soon as if he doesnt we might be going for a combo of Tippett and Pkye in about another 6 weeks

                              Should be dropped

If they say Mummy went on a bender, that does not sound like 2 or 3 beers with mates!! He can do a bender in the off season. If its true he should be dropped this week and White should take his place in the ruck.

Perhaps he doesn't deserve to be dropped for the bender, but in combination with that mustache, certainly should be relegated.
