    Good Lamb gets another game..

But whats the point of Walsh getting just one game..Lamb missing just one game...

Lamb should of played last week......

And don't tell me one game in the 2's rout makes any difference to his overall match fitness.

Walsh was in good form and deserved an opportunity. Also they were probably trying to give Reid support by having McPharlin not play on him. Plus Lamb's fitness as already mentioned

That's pretty amazing about Mitchell. He's only played one or two full reserves games.

Do the AFL realise it's a national game? You've got more chance of getting tetanus than to get the Swans or GWS lineups mentioned in the Sydney news, I suspect Qld is the same for Brisbane and the Suns, so the news is irrelevant, we still need to log on to the interwebs. It's not even time for the news in SA and they've just finished lunch in Perth.

So the whole AFL supporter base sits around waiting so Channel 7 can announce the ins and outs to the Melb based fans.

            @@@@ you AD and @@@@ you C7....
Ch 9 only announces a couple of teams each Thursday.
Usually Collingwood, and maybe another. This week the focus was on Dreamtime at the G.

Very happy to see Mitchell is one step closer to seniors. No doubt they don't expect him to play, but good to know they think he is closing in on his debut!

Heath Shaw not back from suspension due to injury which is a big plus for us.

PS: I was beaten down pretty badly on the Jetta to the forward line argument. So I think I will go with the flow and keep him the midfield. Just looking for a way of getting his production up. As Liz suggested, working harder is the solution to all ills, wherever you line up.

When do the ressies play? If Mitchell is not playing in the seniors, would have thought gaining match fitness in the twos would have been important?

Saturday afternoon in Canberra - so would assume he'll head there Friday night and most likely play reserves

given he would come on with fresh legs....well that's my theory anyway.
I don't think they look at using a defender as the sub. Would you class Rampe as an attacking defender? He has a nice long kick but has a way to go before being considered a rebounding defender.
Everitt is more likely to be, and my preference (for all the weight that carries), the sub. Hopefully he can come on and kick two or three in the last quarter for a close win.
As someone mentioned earlier it is not the last footballer in/out that will decide who wins, more likely our top players play well for a whole game and our bottom six have a solid game with an inspiring tackle/mark or three.
Who would our bottom six be in this game (on current form)?
                      Everitt
                      Bird
                      Rampe
                      Lamb
                      Mummy
                      Jetta
The last two have the talent/ability be in out top six.
                      Whadya reckon?

I hope he plays well, or he could get lambasted by the coach.

Seriously though, the team looks ok, all things considered. My problem is that, although we have key injuries, we get dominated by teams who also have key injuries. Pies are missing Shaw, Beams and Thomas, so on paper things should be even. So why don't I feel that they are? Not to state the obvious, but it would be so awesome to win tomorrow, and know that the team is getting peiced back together over the next few weeks.

Mitchell can't be too far off? I still tipping round 13 for his debut. WARNING to swans supporters! Sam Newman on the Footy Show said the Swans are fading fast, so don't waste your money buying final tickets this year. He has never know to be wrong!!! Or has he?

Good changes. Lamb is a gun in the making a Walsh is a hack.

I'd love to see Everitt given a "tagging" job on Harry O'Brien. When the Pies play well, O'Brien is generally a big part of it. He's been mixing it up between the half-back flank and wing this season, and provides a lot of their drive. Not sure whether Everitt has the defensive mindset to tag but he has the athleticism to go with O'Brien. And he's capable of kicking the odd goal himself, which is important in keeping the tagee accountable.

I think Everitt is capable, and usually does one or two nice things a game. He just doesn't really do enough. If he can play a defensive role on one of the Pies' main playmakers, he would be making a valuable contribution regardless of how much of the ball he gets himself.
