If he keeps this form up he would have to be a very big chance to take it out and I notice on Sportsbet that he is already second favourite behind O'meara in betting.

Speaking of betting I have just noticed that Hanners has snuck ahead of Jobe to be second favourite for Charlie.
Thanks to Keiren Jack, Jarrad McVeigh and Josh Kennedy, Hanners won't win the Brownlow. Ablett and Watson won't have too many votes taken by teammates. Just like last year, where the Swans polled more votes in total than any other club, but our highest placed player was Kennedy in 8th.

Lachie Whitfield for GWS is right up there as well. Wouldn't be surprised if he wins it.

Deserving nomination. His chances of winning it obviously depend on him staying in the team now. It'd take a brave man to leave him out though!

Indeed. And it would take Superman to force him out!
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

                I don't know if he's got a nickname yet...But as far as I'm concerned...

                He's 'The Honey Badger'.

For those unfamiliar, the Honey Badger is regarded as one of the worlds most tenacious animals, tireless in combat and rarely beaten.

I always regarded Paul Kelly to be a worthy Honey Badger...Mitchell has the makings of one.

Good grief. All that after only 2 games? He really wants to play, doesn't he?

                          Incredible.
Against Essendon and Adelaide, Mitchell has averaged a disposal every three minutes - ranked number one in the competition.

He churns out 1.42 SuperCoach points a minute, also a clear top-ranking in the AFL.
The man who laughs has not yet heard the terrible news

Is that your proposed nickname?! A bit blasphemous ... but if you think he's not quite as good as G.Ablett Snr but better than anyone else ... perhaps ...

How long ago did I say from watching the Twos that his hands reminded me of Sam. But his feet are a different matter. He can kick either foot as he can handball either hand but he gets a great deal of penetration by foot. DIESEL, that is the word by foot. Deisel was great by hand but lethal by foot because he was so penetrating. This kid is better than Deisel.

they played him as Sub last week don't get that. I don't know where Sheedy's head is at. Whitfield had a blinder the week before and was BOG and gets to be Sub this week. What are you on Sheeds?
