Sounds like a story planted by Mumford's manager. The reporter doesn't even get GWS's version on the record, even though he speaks to them. OK, even if for whatever reason GWS doesn't want to say it's chasing Mumford, the reporter should at least ask if they can afford both players. Or, they're actually chasing another player but, guided by Mumford's manager, the reporter writes that his source tells him it's Mumford. A pretty dubious story, including this prize piece of BS:
