Jesse white played half a game and got 3 goals.... That translates to a haul of 6.

Pretty obvious that once we had Tippet, White, and resting ruckman playing in the forward line together, the Giants were stretched to the extreme. Giants' ineptness meant they couldnt run the ball out either.

so with Benny out who comes in Ugg? Morto for Benny that is about it I'd say. there is no way they are going to give Harry go against West Coast unless it is for BJ. Membrey is in an even worse position. Shaw is coming back through the Twos Longmire has already confirmed that as he hasn't played since round 2. Jetts is not ready and even if he was they would want him to have a warm up game in the Twos anyway. so who do you replace Lamb with? Just wondering?

Sorry I meant Lamb was out when he kicked it from near the boundary. I'd keep him in against West Coast, basically as you point out there aren't many other options

If it was me I'd bring Harry in. Yes he's basically a debutant having only played that one quarter against GWS in round 1 last year but he's had a solid year under the Swans reserves last year and will have little problem adjusting to senior level as opposed to someone like Jack jnr or Richards jnr who were still plying their trade in the underage comps/state leagues. They were using Cunningham at half forward in the early part of the reserves game so I suspect they've had the idea in mind for some time already. The other option is Towers whose played his best Swans football as a forward and whose pace, like Cunningham's, would be invaluable on the big ground and especially so in the absence of Jetta and Shaw.

For what it's worth I heard Membrey was very close to playing on Sunday. He was on standby for one Swan in particular who was in doubt right up until a few hours before the game. However not having played either reserves and seniors would diminish his chances of a Western debut.

This bloody bye the reserves have coming up could not have come at a worse time. Rohan, Rhyce and whoever goes to WA as the fresh reserve all need to play that week. Jetta is another who may have been ready to come back thru the reserves as well...

Jetta is confirmed as being at least five weeks away.

Towers is looking on the improve and if we are wanting to continue our kick it over the top to very fast players then you would think that Towers may have played enough games and our brand now that he may well level jump Morton ??

otherwise where does everyone think Towers is placed right now ?

Much mirth was had around the vicinity of my seat and I needed either a cough lozenge or a beer afterwards to soothe my throat. I chose a beer.

For those who don't have Fox, go to YouTube and type in "Dunstall loses it on After the Bounce", or something like that, and you'll find a clip easily enough.

If you watch a replay, he actually did kick a drop punt.
The eternal connundrum "what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object" was finally solved when David Hasselhoff punched himself in the face.

I may have called him a drop kick punt at the time.

Dunstall said as much on Sunday night and BJ did NOT go into the file that Dunstall has mockingly setup, claiming he kicked a low drop punt, albeit poorly, not a dribble kick which he has the issue with.

the bye is next week not this week. Jetts will not be back for at least 5. Rhyce will play this week at Metricom against Gold Coast as will Rohan. Yes the bys is a pains in the ass and 4 byes a year is bloody stupid.

I'm aware of when the bye is.

I was unaware at the time of Jetts now extended prognosis unfortunately...
