I just wonder what he will be like applying the tackles and pressure at Snr level ? yet in saying that the rule changes are making it easier for the slighter built fellas to be able to keep their feet and know that they wont get smashed

the game moves so quick now that keeping on your feet is imperative !

the main area of his game that looked far behind say Tommy Mitchell and Rampe was his two way efforts appeared to be well below

yet I havent watched him for 6 weeks or so and he may have really focussed on this area of his game as he will be well aware you dont get picked into the Bloods Snr 22 unless this is habit !

Under the radar player. Not that big, blond, hard working, improved as the year progressed, not a KPP, more of a "where did he come from" player. Looks 14.

Elevated because?? I would think its because the Swans want him to know he is a valued member of the club and they would want to keep him rather than lose him. No better way to tell him he is valued than to elevate him is there.

Lightly framed, tallish, recruited as an outside runner and played in that position last year. He had a good run in the middle of the season polling votes in a string of games before suffering a lower leg injury and not playing for the rest of the year. This year has played from half back (except for last week where he went back to the midfield due to a shortage of numbers there), has been the key instigator in driving the ball from defence, would be leading the Reserves in Rebound 50s. He had a slow start to the year polling only one in the first 8 games but since then has featured in 5 of the last 7.

Neat kicker of the ball, takes a lot of the kick outs, has an uncanny running style which carries him quickly across short distances without any apparent effort. He doesn't really stand out in any one regard, which has been my criticism, but I guess he fills a role within the team and does it well, and that's the main message the coaches have been banging on about when a new player comes into the team.

For the guys who can go back to the mid 90's, Biggs reminds me of a Scott Direen or Daniel McPherson.

Middling height and doesn't really appear to standout in any one area (so far) but a pretty good user, maybe not quite to the level of the other two at this stage, who brings the ball out from the back half well and can break a line.

As much as it pains me to say it you are quite right, he has no trade currency. this is an incentive, giving him a sniff so to speak to keep him keen. It also might be giving him a message that if he continues to improve his chances of making the senior list will get much better.

he's been raving on about Biggs for a couple of years now.

I like the kid's dedication and he does what the coaches ask him. He has pretty good skills but because of his slim frame he was not a fierce tackler. Recruited as an outside mid/running half back. Has improved his defensive and tackling skills in the time he has been here. I think he goes under the radar much like Mal used to or Macca. He is built like them too and is the same type of player and when he gets his tackling right will be an asset to any side in the league. He is also a nice kid and I have met his parents who are lovely people. I just wish him good luck and hope this gives him a bit more confidence.

Listed as 188cm and 78kg so good height for a flanker but as others have said lightly framed.

I think we traded Heath for a rubbish pick to ensure he got to where he wanted to go, Poor Power. There's a bit of that goes on at trade time, doing the right thing by your departing player rather than them running the gauntlet of the PSD.
