I wouldn't worry about being firmly on the radar and all the extra analysis. I would suggest that it's our cattle, work ethic, culture and execution that forms the basis of most of our wins rather than coaching strategy per se.

I'd be surprised if Insider or any other footy analysis show has come up with any secret gems that have not already been well and truly identified by the 17 other clubs.

The big danger with all the adulation is keeping our players feet on the ground and focused on the goal ahead. No doubt most of the boys watch Fox Footy and if not their family and friends would be telling them all the great press they are getting.

We've seen it with all teams plenty of times in the past and indeed saw it with our own side post-obliteration of the Crows.

The attention should stop some of that COL bleating from other supporters. Not that it really matters, but some of those obviously less intelligent people that support other teams might now understand some of the workrate and discipline that goes into the Swans style of footy. It's not about having more money to splash around on stars, but on working bloody hard to stick to a smart gameplan.

Maybe wishful thinking, but I'd like to think that some people might be learning to appreciate the way the Swans are getting it done at the present time.

Reminds me: I read the Richmond Big Footy game autopsy thread after the weekend. One person raised the COLA, several others said what a good team we were, no disgrace losing to us, etc. Nice to see footy with a civilizing influence.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

Which explains why I'm almost certain in one piece of play where they were raving about the endurance effort of Kieren Jack...it was actually Brandon.
