i do think the MRP is 50-50 on it. i think he will probably get 2 reduced to 1 but there must be some chance of getting 1 reduced to 0Comment

A lot of pressure on the MRP tonight, a really big call and they will have to come up with some mighty fine justification if they let him off, everything about it says he should get at least a week - was definately high, definately late and he definately had time to pull out of it so very hard to see how he could possibly get off, doesn't mean he won't though.Comment

We finished 3rd last year in the H&A Season...Looking at the stats for finalists since 1996:
* The last team to reach a grand final from fourth was.... us in 2006!
* Every grand final since has been played between 1st and 2nd.
* We were also the last team to win the flag after finishing below first or second (2005 for those who've forgotten).
* The Crows are the only team to win it from 4th (in 1997). In '98 they won from 5th.
The trend seems to be it is getting harder for anyone but the top 2 to make the GF, let alone win it.
From 1996-2005, Essendon and Port were the only minor premiers to go on to win the flag. In the seven seasons from 2006-2012, minor premiers won three times, runners-up four times.Comment

Andrew Wu needs to rethink his headshot.I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his timeComment

Why? I can assure you that's him. Hi Andrew if you're reading thisComment

I was going to start with "Hi Andrew, don't take this the wrong way- but..."
I'm not sure I can really put my finger on why, I think it just looks too serious.I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline

But at this time of the year the AFL protects the game before the head. I can't see that they will let one of the game's marquee players sit on the sidelines when there are gates and television ratings to consider. Mind you we benefitted from this change in interpretation in 1996 and again in 2005 so we shouldn't complain. It should be interesting to hear the fumbling explanation however.A lot of pressure on the MRP tonight, a really big call and they will have to come up with some mighty fine justification if they let him off, everything about it says he should get at least a week - was definately high, definately late and he definately had time to pull out of it so very hard to see how he could possibly get off, doesn't mean he won't though.Comment
