    Swans aren't winning a flag without Goodes or Jetta with a bit of match conditioning. Gotta think ahead or just forget about it.

    Out: Rohan, Bolton, McVeigh, (maybe even Hannebery)
    In: Goodes, Morton, Lamb, (Jack, Cunningham or Biggs if required)

    Would like to see Everitt out but this may be a knee-jerk reaction. He's been playing all year so roll the dice with him.

            I obviously have a completely different view. For me it is this week and this week alone which matters. Next week will look after itself. I would pick the best 22 for this game without giving a moments thought to the side for next weekend.

            Oddly enough I reckon your ins and outs are pretty close to mine, based on injury and the ability to get over the ground. and I would be choosing Cunningham over jack whose rawness is like eating tartare.

            However, if Bolton is fit to play he plays, but not exclusively as a forward. we need more pace forward and a bit more smarts around the ball occasionally.

              I tend to agree with Bloodthirsty's view that we should be doing everything we can to try and win the flag. If that means jeopardising a win this week, so be it.

              I fully realise that if we get beaten this week (or next), then the flag cannot be won, but if a risk can be taken this week or next that will make us significantly better equipped to win the big one should we make it, the risk is worth taking imho...

                The noble bard says it better than i can - but (and forgive the length) if we succeed we succeed with our squad this very week.

                WESTMORELAND. O that we now had here
                But one ten thousand of those men in England
                That do no work to-day!

                KING. What?s he that wishes so?
                My cousin Westmoreland? No, my fair cousin;
                If we are mark?d to die, we are enow
                To do our country loss; and if to live,
                The fewer men, the greater share of honour.
                God?s will! I pray thee, wish not one man more.
                By Jove, I am not covetous for gold,
                Nor care I who doth feed upon my cost;
                It yearns me not if men my garments wear;
                Such outward things dwell not in my desires.
                But if it be a sin to covet honour,
                I am the most offending soul alive.
                No, faith, my coz, wish not a man from England.
                God?s peace! I would not lose so great an honour
                As one man more methinks would share from me
                For the best hope I have. O, do not wish one more!
                Rather proclaim it, Westmoreland, through my host,
                That he which hath no stomach to this fight,
                Let him depart; his passport shall be made,
                And crowns for convoy put into his purse;
                We would not die in that man?s company
                That fears his fellowship to die with us.
                This day is call?d the feast of Crispian.
                He that outlives this day, and comes safe home,
                Will stand a tip-toe when this day is nam?d,
                And rouse him at the name of Crispian.
                He that shall live this day, and see old age,
                Will yearly on the vigil feast his neighbours,
                And say ?To-morrow is Saint Crispian.?
                Then will he strip his sleeve and show his scars,
                And say ?These wounds I had on Crispian?s day.?
                Old men forget; yet all shall be forgot,
                But he?ll remember, with advantages,
                What feats he did that day. Then shall our names,
                Familiar in his mouth as household words-
                Harry the King, Bedford and Exeter,
                Warwick and Talbot, Salisbury and Gloucester-
                Be in their flowing cups freshly rememb?red.
                This story shall the good man teach his son;
                And Crispin Crispian shall ne?er go by,
                From this day to the ending of the world,
                But we in it shall be remembered-
                We few, we happy few, we band of brothers;
                For he to-day that sheds his blood with me
                Shall be my brother; be he ne?er so vile,
                This day shall gentle his condition;
                And gentlemen in England now-a-bed
                Shall think themselves accurs?d they were not here,
                And hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks
                That fought with us upon Saint Crispin?s day.

                  If this Crispin plays for the Saints I doubt we want him.

                      Ah, Shakespeare.

                      If only such a one did guide our boys
                      What speech of motivation would he give,
                      What words to rouse the mongrel in our team
                      Cry "Havoc" and let slip the Swans of yore.

                      And at the halftime break he would deliver
                      Such spray to make the very grandstand quiver.
                      He'd rouse the spirit of '45 to fight
                      That battle o'er, and cheer the red and white.
                      He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)
