    Recruitment Prospects for Upcoming Drafts

As the list of delistings lengthens I want to make an early call and say Liam Patrick from the suns is worth a rookie spot. I haven't watches a whole lot of their games this year, but he only played in two so doesn't matter Sometimes a player does something special and they stick in your mind as being up to the standard. Mitch Morton was one, and I think Patrick is another. He's one of those players who has struggled for consistency, but I can't imagine and player being relieved that they got to mark him because he could do ANYTHING. If he could consistently do SOMETHING then he would be a real weapon. Worth a look at least I think. Of the delisted players I think he is the only one who stands out as having the potential to be seriously special as a player.

Dayle Garlett....it will be interesting to see who, if anybody, picks him up. The article has us as one of the clubs possibly interested if he stays out of trouble.

Mav Weller comes across as a bogan, and you could debate about that famed policy of ours, but if he's available when we pick I'd have no issue grabbing him.

I also wouldn't mind Josh Growden from GWS, he was a pretty good junior and one of their u17 pickups- broke his leg in 2011, missed most of 2012 coming back from it. Didn't get a game, and considering they played a lot of people this season that is a big question mark but I think would be worth a rookie pickup if he's available. Still very young.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

I must confess to having a fantasy about ex-pie Andrew Krakour in Red & White. Apologies, Doc, if I mis spelt his name.

                Is it football-related?

Doesn't he play for North Adelaide and isn't that the same team that Josh Francou is coaching? If so, I would imagine we will get some input on that suggestion. I always thought had talent and was a bit surprised he was cut.

Luke Delaney from North Melb looks a good key def prospect out of contract wants more opportunities I think he is the exact type of player we have missed this year.

                      Cheers

I thought he looked a solid defender, but do you think he offers any more than Grundy does? If we got another defender, I was hoping it would be someone a notch above, perhaps a bit more speed or disposal skills. Someone like Ben Reid comes to mind (who is a free agent end of next season BTW).

we have a stack of smalls that can be shaped in HBFs in my opinion if we need more speed flying off our HBF's in 2014........so i wont be looking so much for that type of player in recruitment but I would be after another midfield trade like a Kennedy to replace Bolton / Rok very soon

I dont rate Heath that much at all.............I dont think that Rhys's brother kicks the ball any better then Rampe

my guess is that we will see Rampe given the opportunity to play more of an attacking HBF role in 2014 when AJ comes back and takes Rampes man on man 3rd defender type role

The Shaws - Heath or Rhys for example they were very ordinary with their delivery from the HBF type run and kick role in their early years........Rampe I has serious kick and he is certainly quick..............Rhys has only got his passing better the last couple of seasons in my opinion

I've got my eye on Heath Shaw. I'm hoping he never comes near Sydney.

We're well-served for mid-career running half-backs, so I don't think there's anything in the stories linking him to us. But I remain vigilant.
