It was interesting that throughout his first interview as a Swan last week, Longmire and Ireland always called him Lance, never Buddy. Perhaps that's just because they don't know him well enough for knicknames yet?

Professionals. I for one don't like nicknames being used in a professional environment. Maybe they both felt the same way.

But the media will simply market him as Buddy and thats his brand, the cool kids all have personal brands these days!

It is also correct that his father's name is Lance.

Except that Plugger was nicknamed Plugger because his father had been before him, not to distinguish him from his father. (Or so my hazy memory is telling me.)
