My god. Horse specifically described Reid as "a 20 year old premiership centre half forward". We're planning to run Tippett, Franklin and Reid in the same forward line.
Tippett and Pyke the stay at home FFs with Franklin and Reid as quick and powerful dual CHFs. Goodes roaming the field however he wants.
(Or rest Pyke on the bench to give him maximum ruck time and leave Tippett forward as much as possible.)
Two things that struck me about the interview, Buddy looks odd in red and white but that feeling will pass, and I think Buddy is keen on a bit more of that premiership winning feeling and I hope that comes true.
Feeling better about the whole thing after seeing the presser.
Reid, Buddy and Adam can all run through the midfield, so they probably all can play in the forward line, although only Reid is a good defensive player. I suppose longer term, after AG retires, we would a tall forward line of Tippo, Buddy and Sam.
I suppose that means that Grundy will be staying and we are likely to be looking to draft a tall defender.
I see it as a bit of a circus but it is all fun. What if Buddy is retired injured at some stage and is still being paid but decides to move back to Melbourne to live. Does he still get the 9.8% COLA? Since it is solely to compensate for the 15% higher living costs in Sydney, it would raise questions!

I thought he looked damn fine in the red and white! Can't help but get excited at the prospect after watching him.

I'm not sure if Buddy care, which number he gets, unless he's superstitious. Number 10 is free.
Sounded pretty keen on getting 23 to me.

Maybe Schlarenburg with pick two?
Or I'm thinking no pick two.
Andrew Ireland said there is no need to move anyone on to fit Buddy in, only Armstrong and Everitt out of contract and may choose to move and they wouldn't get anywhere near pick 2.

Pretty clear COLA (at least for high earning players) is going to be discontinued so club won't get it anyway. But Franklin will get the full amount as specified in his contract whether the club gets COLA or not.
I suspect "Pickers" will be heading for a luxury holiday in the Bahamas after the trade period is over. His pay packet on the Buddy deal must be huge. Hats off to him; he is a shrewd operator. All during the season he got grilled on SEN and all the time he let people suggest that Buddy was off to GWS. Not one media person even contemplated us after the Tippett signing.
Looking at the TWR twitter photo's, a large crowd turned up at the SCG to meet Buddy. I have no doubt it was a fabricated rent a crowd considering school is back.
I wonder if the singing dog was back or did Roos take it to Melbourne with him.

I wonder if he is Paul Roos Manager considering his skills.
Although Sam de Brito says all men are liars except for him.

Freudian Slip - SEN played back an interview they had earlier in the year and Liam said "Swans" instead of GWS once! He quickly backtracked haha

Apparently in an interview mid-season Pickering said 'Sydney' instead of 'GWS' but everyone knew he couldn't possibly mean the Swans.
The man who laughs has not yet heard the terrible news
