Hopefully this i the case. There are some good picks that we should angle for with a trade deal. Bye Bye Benny perhaps, or Jed. I feel dirty just thinking this way but a good early pick would be handy.

I guess that was the revenge play, huh? Well, I'm glad Mummy made some $ from it all, been a good servant for the few years he's been here.

I'm assuming GWS will be offering us pick 1026 or go screw ourselves.

They might package it up with an old footy sock, or a framed picture of Sheeds giving us the finger...

Happy for Mummy. He'd be a good person to have as a leader in a fledgling club and he's certainly earned the reward.

          Good luck to big Mummy.
He must love living in the Sydney lifestyle and the anominity of it.

GWS will ream us which is fair enough as they hold 100% of the cards.
They could just offer their last pick to try and get back at us.

Great to sign @mummy_41 who is out of contract at Swans and will be taken either through the pre-season draft or trade for late draft pick.

Leon Cameron said he's confident a deal will be done with the Swans. Don't really expect them to be generous though.

As I noted somewhere in another thread, we won't be using many draft picks, preferring to get Rampe et al onto the senior list. If we can move either of our first two picks up the order, we have done well. Under the circumstances (no leverage) we may be able to swap their pick 19 for our pick 30'ish. That would give us 2 picks in the top 20. We can then get to work on Collingwood and upgrade pick 19 for Collingwood's pick 11 for Jesse.

We finish with Buddy, picks 11 and 15. Lose Mummy and White. If Incy moves on, we may even be able to further our position.

                  Triple Baldrick! I like it!
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

                    .
I think that's probably right. I saw Mumford shopping for his fruit & veg in the market in Bondi Mall on the Monday before they went to Perth for the prelim final. Apart from me not a single person took a second look. Separately I also saw Kurt Tippett ( on crutches) the same day. Two attractive young women quickly went up to talk to him ( from the smile on his face he is used to that!) but again no- one else took any notice of him either. I of course was fan struck by both of them. They are VERY big young men up close (with dream bodies but we Swans women already knew that!).

We will see how smart the Giants are. They can pay us now or pay us later. If they decide to pay us later, the interest payments will be huge. I wouldn't want to be in the same town with the experts in cherry picking players from other teams, especially if you have a list full of top talent looking for another home.

My guess is that they are not that bright, and we won't mind forcing Mummy to the PSD. It will set a precedent for the future.

Only reason Mummy left was for Coin. He's 27, he will never play in a final again in his career now that he's gone to the scum at the Giants and knows he will finish with a premiership medallion and a bit more coin then he would have got here. Good luck Mummy, because you certainly won't be winning many games for the rest of your career.
LRT. Lord Roberts-Thompson. He may look like the Munster, but looks can be deceiving.

Seriously do we have to be so callous ???

Mummy has been great for us and so what if he left for more dollars. Who amongst us hasn't done that in the workforce. He was part of our premiership team and I've lived his bash and crash style.

Likewise, can we not just say see ya to Benny ? One of my saddest moments in 2012 was his hamstring and hearing horse pay respect to him in the speech. I for one clapped as loudly as I could at that moment.

Mummy didn't do anything wrong. We pushed him out. He took the best deal he could. He probably knows that his body won't hold up for that long. All the best to him.

In recent times, the 'enforcers' in our team have been White and Mumford. They have been terrific in standing tall when opposition players have been trying to intimidate young Swanlings.

I hope we don't have to rely on Franklin to be our new 'enforcer'. He will be paid too much money to be fronting the MRP!

Don't see anyone being too callous about our own players. As for GWS, that mob deserve all they get - perhaps if they had shown the Sydney Swans some respect since they were imposed on the Sydney market as part of this hare-brained experiment then we would have some respect for them.

I hope we play hard ball with GWS over this pick, especially as it will not affect Mummy. I'd think he is worth at least an upgrade from 14 to 9 or 31 to 19. Or 31 to 9 with Lamb and our White pick added.

If we don't get anything decent in way of improvement in our first three picks we should throw them to the wolves and let them use him as their first PSD pick and run the risk of losing their preferred pick.

Now is not the time to be feeling any sympathy to them at all....

So, we have Bolton, Mattner and Mitch retiring plus Jesse and Mumford at this stage. That's five out

We have recruited Buddy and want to upgrade Rampe, Brandon Jack and Biggs. We need to use at least three draft pick I think (please correct if wrong). That's seven in.

So assuming we take Perris as one draft pick we will ideally want two first round draft picks from the general talent pool.

So , one player added to the Mummy deal to get the second first round pick and a delisting should do the trick...
