At least it's still going up despite the disaster.

I've also noticed they've got Hannebery's face in front of membership numbers instead of Buddy after the first game. lol. Wonder if it's a coincidence?
If its got anything to do with the first game, I'd have gone for anyone other than Hanners. He would have been very close to worst on ground in my opinion!

According to this thread around 10,000. Which makes the 24,000 figure pretty impressive when you take into consideration that the largest membership for a NRL team is about 25,000.

    Nice. Still plenty of time.

I'm sure once Tippett comes back in and if both he and Franklin kick dazzling bags of goals the media would eat it up and the membership would soar. Which is why this Tippett injury is bothering me so much.

The official AFL membership census happens sometime in May, I think.

Yeh members can sign up throughout the season. Towards the back half of the season, they do "SCG fortress" memberships which is a 3 game membership for 3 SCG games and stuff like that

This year I have noticed that despite us having Buddy, media coverage in Sydeny seems far less. gWS seems to have slowed growth in NSW, really no media coverage at all

It was 33,687. That's as at 4pm(ish) yesterday.

I'd tend to agree - the amount of coverage in the SMH is still pretty low and I wouldn't think the Tele has got much more on the Swans than usual.

The only place I see an upswing in Swans related stories is on social media - the AFL and FoxFooty Facebook feeds have had plenty of Swans stories since we landed Buddy, as they've obviously noted the number of comments these receive, almost all anti-Swans/anti-Buddy/anti-COLA in nature. Very few positive stories there....

On the swans website it's on 33,401. Hopefully yours is correct though.

Goddamn I hope it goes higher than 36,000. Hope the media advertises the hell out of us in the next week or so.
