    Round 1 vs GWS

I'm planning to fly up for this GWS home game, are tickets on sale yet?

When I've been to a couple of our home games at ANZ I've caught the Swans bus from the North Shore where my host family reside. Does anyone know if there will be similar Swans buses for this game? given that we are likely to make up 85% of the crowd :-)

Alternatively, what are my transport options from the airport to the ground?

    Thanks in advance

I went to a few Skoda games last year. There were no buses and the public transport wasn't free. Keep in mind that the crowd was less than 10k so it probably wasn't worth the while doing the buses as it is for the usual ANZ attendance.

From the airport I would change at Central for a service that stops at Lidcombe and then jump on the train departing Olympic Park sprint platform

Hopefully for this game they'll run direct trains from Central, given that it will be a sellout? I guess we'll hear about that closer to match day....

Anyone who has mobility issues can forget it. Unfortunately. No close parking and access at all to Skoda. Bugger.

Hasn't Skoda now become GIANTS Stadium?

Yes. Skoda did not renew sponsorship.

Thanks guys, looks like train from the airport to Central, Lidcombe, then jump onto the Olympic Park train. Had a look at the map, looks a nice leg stretching walk from the train to the stadium.

I'm going to fly in early so I catch the ressies, lots of new players for me to see live for the first time.

Also looking forward to how our new "giant" forward line performs in the main game. Don't think it will be a huge margin, GWS should be more competitive this year given their star studded kids are now in their third year and the addition of quality mature premiership recruits.

The ressies comp doesn't start until 2 weeks after the GWS game. That said, it would make sense to play a trial game against each other, so wouldn't surprise if they work something out.

As for the 'leg stretching walk', the ground is right next to the station

Just rechecked the ressies page, I didn't notice that it is a practice match! May as well still fly in early and watch it as I don't have the luxury of seeing them regularly.

It doesn't really make much difference if the reserves game is a practice game or a game for NEAFL points in terms of what you'll get, especially if its against the Giants. Any of these matches is just a case for the younger players to learn the Swans style and to push their case for senior selection.

It's a long way out, but I've already got the BOG for this game - in a losing effort. His name is Mumford.

Apparently tickets to this game go on sale to giants members today at 12pm.

Ive checked ticketmaster website and reserved seats go on sale to sydney swans members next Monday (10th Feb) at 9am (general public on the 14th). Ive seen nothing from the swans to confirm this though.

Why would Giants members need to buy a ticket? Surely its covered by their membership?
