I agree, Harry can kick very long goals - anyone else remember the 2012 NEAFL grand final?

Great analysis Ludwig! I would love to see a Swans team that contains Jetta, Franklin, and Rohan in top form and also contains Cunningham and Brandon Jack in the line up. That sort of pace would be deadly. That's why I question a player like Craig Bird! He does not have the pace of the others but is a good inside mid. You can't have everyone in the line up and I believe that Bird is ahead of Cunningham and Beandon Jack, but the gap will close over the next two seasons!Matt, Cunningham can kick them from outside 50 as well. But I have no argument about Jetta's skills, which are elite. The only question is whether we are going to see the consistent Jetta that kicked multiple goals game after game or the one that puts in a couple of sparkling cameos every game. I hope it's the former.Comment

He's not competing with Jetta and Rohan. He's got speed, but he's got bulk like Kennedy. He's competing for an inside role.I agree Goods78. His season will depend on injuries to others. Garry Rohan, Ben Mglynn and Lewis Jetta are ahead of him with Brandon Jack closing in on him.
If he can hold down a significant amount of time in the midfield then he can challenge a Craig Bird.
Another good result for the Swans from the Rookie List!Comment

If Cunningham is competing for an inside role, then at some point he will challenge Craig Bird! Inside mids such as Kennedy, Jack, Parker, ROK, Hannas and Mcviegh are ahead of Bird. Tom Mitchell is coming through as another strong inside mid. If Cunningham can develop is a good inside midfielder, his pace will allow him to break free of congestion and play some good run with roles!Comment

when i suggested for jetta to plat half his minutes from HBF in replacement of mal like a Daniel Pearse from Freeo role 80% of the forum went off their head.......
I just brought this one up because a week a month a season can change all our opinions and I am now bullish we could cause an upset in the finals
what say u ludwig.......can we create a symphony come week 1 of the finals ?"be tough, only when it gets tough"

Well, a few weeks ago it all looked totally hopeless. Now I've got a bit of optimism going into the finals. I certainly give us a chance against Freo. And after that, who knows?just stirring

I'm quite hopeful about week one in freo. Win that and we get a week off and then a home prelim against either west coast hawthorn Adelaide or Bulldogs. I wouldn't at all be surprised that Adelaide make it through to the prelim that we would play in if we win against freo so there's a lot to play for. If that's the case then it's likely to be a Sydney hawthorn grand final again.Comment

I agree that the best outcome is for us to beat Freo and Eagles beat HawksI'm quite hopeful about week one in freo. The Hawks then hopefully go into a knockout finals match against a red hot Adelaide team who we knock off in the Prelim
Meantime Freo and the Weagles bash each other senseless in the other Prelim
I still think we're the rank outsiders in the top four but for the first time this season I am quietly confident about our chancesComment
