        No comments at all?

With Laidler out looks like a restructure with someone needing to move back probably Macca. Also means that Rampe will be marking White

not to worried about mismatch in height on white

white is an on the lead forward and Rampe has the speed to push him away from the ball and keep him outside the 50m arc

does everyone think Harry will be our Sub?

I thought Jetta wasnt to bad last week

Yes, probably Harry as sub, which would be an unfortunate byproduct of his poor game last week.

Agree McVeigh to go back. I thought it was odd to read pre-season that McVeigh had talked his way back to the midfield. I'm pleased he's going back. Initially surprised it's Laidler to drop out, but I guess he's least entrenched.

Derickx perhaps lucky given reports of ressies pre-season. Big game for him (and his game is big for us).

From those available for selection I like this list. Looks more balanced than last week. I'm particularly pleased to see Derickx as ruck backup for Pyke. And yes I see Cunningham as the sub. O'Keefe seems a good fit against Collingwood in my view.

I think we will go with Ted and Reg on Cloke and White as the main matchups and not worry that much about Witts, who isn't much of a kick and is easy to run off. Might think about dropping Reid back to cover Witts, or have Derickx play on him. Witts is no forward.

What do people think about Laidler being dropped? I don't remember him much from the round 1, but then again I recall little from that game. Seems to be one of those that leave no impression.

You're right about White. Witts is a monster - 208cm, 113kg. White's a mere 207-107. But he's always played kind of small. Plus, Rampe has the better hair.

I'm not sure if you're a true believer in the Champion Data/Super Coach ratings but they rated him our best player against GWS. I wouldn't have classified him as our best but he certainly didn't do anything wrong. Probably a reflection of how poor the whole team was rather than how good he was.

I gave him a vote. He was one of our best and very unlucky to be dropped.

Not sure where you're getting that from...Forecast is for a possible morning shower clearing to a dry day.

Grundy and Richards will take Cloke and Witts.

I'm glad they went with Rampe over Laidler in this game. Obviously the coaching staff have seen plenty of Rampe versus White, at Swans practice ....They must like this match up.

And if White gets a run on, like he does occasionally, then there is always Reid to fall back on......

As an aside.....I really hope they put ROK in the forward pocket.

Also glad to see Derickx get a run, he competes pretty well and should do his bit in the ruck

On paper the team looks well balanced...And surely is more than motivated....I'm feeling bullish!
Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it's time to pause and reflect... MT
