I'd be surprised if we win this at this point. There's just nothing we can do with it.

Brian Taylor is the most annoying commentator ever. I can understand that he's entertaining for neutrals though.

This is crap - why do they persist with these dinky handballs!!! Our players are blinkered - they don't see free players - buddy can only do so much and the Pies are not getting pinged for holding the ball - mind you we are slow. The umpiring is crap but we aren't helping. Pendlbury keeps ducking into the tackle - god I hate Collingwood !!
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

If all the swans played with the same enthusiasm as Mike Pyke we should be close to a contender however if they play with his knowledge of t,he game back are in trouble

Oh well we've had a difficult start to the season - two away games on the trot is always a hard way to start the year....

I don't think we lost this game through lack of trying... we just had no gameplan. How many times did we make some brilliant links through the middle and then turned it over to Collingwood's free defender?

Collingwood + ANZ = Sydney Swans perplexing performance what is it is it the shape of the field ? Collingwoods style of play? Or are we not quite as good as we think ?

What a load of crap that was, agree re the game, why would you leave Maxwell as the extra man down back in the 2nd half, epically as Brwon went off.
It was almost as if Horse was coaching not to lose rather than coaching to win.
Based on pre season and 2 games, not top four finish.
What's going to change, if ?? Goodez ever gets back.

it is one thing to put the heat back on our midifeld and obviously the coaching dept felt we were too slow and not good enough to beat the likes of Freeo and Hawks but i tell you what John Longmire should have changed the pressure on the pies backline............the loose defending of the pies destroyed the inside 50s from the Swans

                            absolutely destroyed us !!!!!!

John i hope you are teaching our midfield a lesson............a lesson that our midfield is good enough to learn from and rise up from !!!

Im not seeing it........Pyke, mcglynn, parker, jack, kennedy, Rohan, Harry etc are not rising up and imposing themself on the games so far

I'll say it again...we are badly underdone! Not just because we always are at this time of the season but also because of the number of players who had operations in the pre-season. History tells you that a pre-season like that will have the team struggle more than not. We need to scrap some wins to stay in touch and hopefully come on strong later in the year. I'm not writing us off.

Their skills were superior, especially field kicking. Result: they often marked, we fumbled around.
Our structure forward was almost non-existent at times. And some of our best players made awful clangers - Ted, Hanners, McVeigh - that resulted in Collingwood goals. We don't position ourselves to advantage especially in more open play. And they played us much more closely than we played them. Pleased to see that Lance was one of our more skilful players.
We still look very rusty at times.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)
