I was taken to that game by my late Grandfather, who was a passionate lifelong Demon?s supporter. I remember that the old Fitzroy forward Richard Osborne kicked 10 goals for the Swans that day.

My Grandfather was very upset that his beloved Demons, who had some good players at the time (Stynes, Lyon) could be beaten by that Sydney team. He hardly said a word in the second half as the small loyal Swans crowd started going berserk. I can still remember the sense of relief and joy that the Swans supporters had that day.

Things have certainly turned around for the Swans since then.
