Nanko's an interesting inclusion. Unless there's an injury concern we don't know about it must mean a lack of confidence over Derrickx.

I think it must be a injury concern to either Tom D or Pyke.

I would think that they would have had confidence in Tom D after his solid work against Adelaide.

Look out for Pyke or Tom D to be a late withdrawal through injury.

It's seems illogical to have three ruckman in a 25 man squad, in what is looking like a wet weather game.

A ruckman is almost always named as an emergency. Nanko was named last week as well.

It's just in case Pyke and Derickx find themselves in a car driven by Hanners.

It seems ROK, without doing much that I've noticed, has quietly re-cemented his place in the team.

I do get the feeling his form is improving with each outing.

A wet game, against a one paced Kangas, might well be to his liking.

Eugh. How many wet home games have we had over the last few years? You'd think with all the practice, we'd be better...

Luckily North are mostly pants in the wet too. Something to do with Etihad.

Our record so far this year:

                    Round 1 - Wet - Loss
                    Round 2 - Wet - Loss
                    Round 3 - Dry - Win

                    I don't like that pattern.

Anyone know who's in and out yet?

According to the site I'm looking at we have:

IN: Craig Bird, Toby Nankervis, Dean Towers
                      OUT: ?

Very happy to see Dean Towers there.

Final 22 and emergencies to be named this afternoon at 5pm.
I'm looking forward to having another look at Derrickz, this time on the smaller paddock. It would be great to see Towers get a run, but I can't see who he replaces (barring injury concerns) especially with Bird to come back in?a no-brainer given the likely conditions.

I would say that the Interchange Bench will come down to Derickx, Rohan, Cunningham, Laidler and Bird. One of those will have to go and another sit on the bench. I would keep Derickx in, one reason being that if we want Pyke to be firing at the end of the season we have got to look after him now, and Derickx needs game time to develop and learn his role. Of the others I think it will depend on the needs - if we need another tagger, Bird would be in but if we need maximum run, both Rohan and Cunningham stay in. I would probably leave Laidler out but what a difficult decision. If Reid and KT were available it would be a whole lot more 'painful'.

                            Is it a concern?
                            UMPIRES: Ray Chamberlain (18) !!!!
                            Simon Meredith
                            Ben Ryan
What's our winning record with Ray in charge?

I hope the SCG crowd gives Ray the dwarf a hard time. I don't want him officiating another swans match again. To top it off, the guy was (And most likely still is) a hawk supporter.

I still vividly remember the Freo game. Almost single-handedly sabotaged our 2011 campaign.
