Doesn't this post belong in the Tippett thread?

I am looking forward to the rest of the year now.
Have to agree with the above, looked a lot slimmer on Sat. compared to nab challenge and round 1

To have a guy who can mark outside 50, go back and kick from 55-60 and slot it mid post height , that's a good thing .

Very few Golfers can draw the ball like Buddy can .
It adds a lot of distance and he has the uncanny ability to aim it at the left goal post , sometimes even further left and then you just watch it arc between the big ones high up out of reach.
It's pretty cool , and he sells the candy has well as Macca for such a big fella.

I still dont think we should be paying him what we are paying him, but if what he did on Saturday proves to be the beginnings of a fruitful time in red and white, count me in as a paid up member of the buddyholclic club. In full flight, he is like goodesy - a joy to watch. Lets hope we get to see buddy amd goodesy play together, although I fear we may never see it

Buddy is a genuine superstar that will win games off his own boot for us - given how good his old mob look, we will need him firing on all cylinders to have a hope of winning the flag!

                    Firstly I'm pro-Buddy

But it's kinda funny. He has a quiet pre-season & there was a fair number of post that were certainty not advocating the recruitment of Lance - cost too much in payment & lost players to get him.
Not spectacular returns from Franklin in rounds 1 & 2 and to some, our season has fallen apart and Buddy was a bad buy.

We beat an undermanned cellar dweller, Buddy has a great game (that's 33% of his regular season games have now been what we desire of our $1.1M a season for him) & now he's the greatest?

While I thought people should settle when they we bemoaning him in the first 2 rounds coz I expected he'd improve, I now think go easy on the accolades until he strings a few good games together.

Understand what you say but it is simply the nature of the beast.
We (the Buddyholics) have had to sit back and read all the negatives week after week, its now our turn to enjoy the spoils.
I'm sure if he has a quiet one this week, the anti-Buddy brigade will be back out in force!

Buddy had a very good game. Scoring 4 goals, having 20 possessions, and delivering those telling long left football kicks that led to goals for Jack, McVeigh and Laidler.

I get the feeling now that people will expect that from Buddy every week. Many people have the view that Buddy should perform like this every week, due to the financial commitment the Swans have made. There will be other games that are wet, there will be other games where he is triple teamed and is dealing with rushed and poor delivery from the midfield. He may only get one or two goals in those games. People will still have to be patient when those games occur, and realise that no key forward will set the world alight in those games.
