My 8yo daughter came along to boo Ryan Crowley, so she was happy too!
Nat has played some absolutely brilliant games against us (unfortunately). His work in the air for a midfielder is something to marvel at.

I don't mind Crowley as much as others. He's a pincher and a chatterbox, but I think its amusing how friendly and good-natured he is once the game is over and he's pantsed his opponent. Funny just as long as it's not against us.

Ballantyne on the otherhand have very few redeeming qualities. Good footballer, but an annoying little @@@@. Yeah, i'm still bitter about that infamous SCG game.

10,000 are in Victoria so against Freo you have to be happy with 25,000

Away for Easter, the races, etc etc. Would have been funny of this match was at Homebush - we might not have cracked 10k......

Ted's first quarter was outstanding, and with Rampe running off, they bought the team time to lift themselves into the game. Shaw was terrific, notwithstanding a couple of blues just after half time. But he carried and found targets. Worth sticking with?he has had almost a year out after all. Bird should never be omitted while he's fit. Derrixkz maintained good body on body contact, and even though he got smashed in the stats, the inside work and tackling was terrific. Hard to see him holding a place though with KT coming back. Umpiring got up my nose big time though. How much is Buddy supposed to put up with? Kudos for him for sticking to it. Nice hit ups from Jetta and Rampe showed the way. And that reversed OOB call on the O'Reilly wing, just when the free had gone our way? Clowns. Great night at the footy though. Screamed myself to an utter standstill. And then lost my phone.

They must have got a total pasting during the week in the team meetings. Truth sessions must have been brutal. Love the result tho.

Screamed at them in the first quarter, but although there was a lot of wayward passing etc, it was done with enthusiasm and purpose which has been missing. the heart started to beat and the rhythm of the game and team gelled. I love it.

Salutes to BJ for his in and under work as well as his dash. Watching the replay (I lasted two quarters last night, today I go back and watch the rest) keep an eye on him. He has the Jude factor in my opinion, doesn't actually look his part but he has strength and fearlessness, and he is always just there.

Darling Benny. I love him. As for Rampe! and Ted! but the kid was just outstanding.

We are going to see a lot of 32 to 23 in the years to come I think. When it works, it works. Nice seeing Franky get his mojo going, and his hugs are monumental. The boys got buried.

No mistake in bringing up Jake Lloyd. The Watchers always knew it was just a matter of time, and didn't he do us proud! Good decision maker and quick with a lot of calm and "time" about him.

Finally they started to think. I don't know where their brains were, but this week they started to stop and look. Not in the first quarter, but as the game progressed they seem to have given themselves permission to use their brains.

I hate to say this, but Horse was right to leave Peb out of this side. Nothing about ability, or game sense, but about speed of thought and pace. It was a ridiculously tough game.

Should I say something about the standard of umpiring?? I should. But it is Easter.....and I want to keep myself nice.

Um people tend to go away at Easter - they are allowed too you know.
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................

What a game, I am still exhausted from watching it on the TV.
For my two cents worth....... what's with the Derickx dislike? No one gets good hit out stats against Sandilands. And besides, all of his stats were better than Pykes but no one is hanging it on him. And neither should they. I would suggest they both played their role last night and that's as it should be. Chill out and enjoy the win everyone.

                    Happy Easter,

I'm with you. I suspect that his strategy was to give nothing but body contact in the air and then attack the ball and Freo players on the ground. He did a fine job of it too. By the last quarter Sandilands was just bashing it as far as he could rather than trying to feed his midfielders.

25,000 against last years grand finalists on a fine sunny day is ordinary.

Didnt freo get 60,000 to an ANZ final?.

Maybe time to take another look at the S C G contract.

My concerns about the SCG are always raised with clarity and professionalism. It is a pity, Mr Koala, that the same is not afforded Those that pot shot the Anz stadium. Imagine the outrage on here if 25,000 turned up to a prelim replay of last year.

I have been to 3 games for zero wins; now two games watched on TV for 2 wins. I'm doing my bit now.
