You can add Lukey Parker to your list....Once again, when it mattered, he presented. I'm just loving the way he plays.Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it's time to pause and reflect... MTComment

It would have been awful if we had lost the games after all those opportunities and Hawks injuries. We will take the win, but any team without Mitchell, Lake, Hodge and Rioli is significantly weaker. They will be tougher next time around.
Very excited to see our four prong tall attack. Goodes was quieter than last week, but is building match fitness. Reid competed very well (5 tackles) and got back some of his touch and fitness. He can play in a very flexible manner with Tippett and Buddy in the same forward line. Tippett and Buddy look like they are going to give the Swans a wonderful combination. It was good to see Tippett do some ruckwork and take some wonderful contested marks.
Tom D has silenced his critics. Showing the tenacity and fighting sprit that Bondi locals are famous for, he did a wonderful job against those two big ruckman.Comment

Very Good. Haven't read the posts yet, I just got back from a noisy gig in Newtown. Saw only a few snippets. Swans up and about in the first quarter. Intense attack on the footy and hawks late in the last quarter with a 10pt diff. Obviously won with a happy looking Franklin interview. Goodes OK? I saw in the red robe of rejection. Sardine cans full of swanspeople unloading in the city. Gonna open a bottle and watch the replay!Comment

With the Hawks so undermanned would've been embarrassing if we'd lost. On the other hand we smashed them in every facet. In the first quarter we just destroyed them.
The game had a nice narrative arc. The Hawks coming back at us and then us running over the top in the last, Buddy finally hitting the scoreboard. Amazing how much drama he generates, in a good way (mostly). The man who laughs has not yet heard the terrible newsComment

I don't think a team with Goodes, Tippet, Franklin, McVeigh et al. Can be called Volkswagens. More like old Jaguars - prestige and quality, but prone to breakdowns and often doesn't work quite as well as it should.Comment

Worst I've seen all year. No rhyme or reason - so many missed and inconsistent calls. Probably didn't advantage either side in the end, but painful to watch.
I was more nervous watching this game than I have been in years. Way worse than 2012 grand final. Great game.Comment

Derrickx's improvement week by week is amazing. He has gone from feather duster to rooster in such a short time.Like many on here ,I thought he was a unco.. fill in rather than a player in his own right. I was wrong. He also took some field marks and got robbed of one beauty by the ump.His attitude is all Swannies.Comment
