I felt that a few weeks ago it was great to have Cunningham, Lloyd and BJ play. Even though we know that BJ did not get a run this week in the big time we know with confidence he can slot straight without concern. The situation is we have that there are another 6 at least that did not play that could do same thing (Rohan, LRT, ROK, Mitchell, Membrey and Pike +). This will be tricky in giving game time to everyone that will need it. I would not be surprised to see Cunningham and Lloyd not picked and if this happens they and everyone else will consider them hard done by, but it is a long season!

How do we do the best for the team now (win against Essendon) and for later in the year?

Is this the best team in the history of the swans if you consider 1 to 30 of the top players?

You may well be right, but with some of the dumb @@@@ written about Grundy in recent years, it's really hard to tell anymore...

+1. Reg would be starting CHB in just about every team in the league and deserves a lot more credit than he gets here.

It would have to go very close. If we stay injury free we really shouldn't lose another game this year.

The upcoming game against Geelong at the SCG is setting up to be an absolute cracker. Exciting times!

So Melbourne members have swapped a Geelong game they had to jump thru a dozen hoops to attend, to an Essendon game with slightly less hoops, but still not really an acceptable arrangement for a paid up member...

                  Pretty much.
$52 for lvl one. $14 for Lvl 3.

I'll be sitting at home on the couch.
Work sometimes have tics available on a Friday Morn. I'll see how I go with them.
I'm going to Windy Hill on Saturday anyway. More money for them.

It's ONLY Essendon games. They are a precious mob.

Happens all the time, the Victorian membership is getting almost worthless, you see the return game against Hawthorn will be the same. That's like 4 games for a full price. Why cant the Swans go to the AFL and get abetter deal for Victorian members.

                      How right you are.

We'll be there, up on level 3 in what is the best venue for watching footy I know, if not the best for playing. A booking fee of $14 per person, although it was all done online in one hit. I think the fundamental problem has been that the place is not owned by the AFL, but I doubt there will be much difference when they do eventually take over, given their floating of the notion that you charge more for popular matches. Who expected this extreme user-pays approach at the footy, for pete's sake?
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

MRP has reported. Roughead one week sanction for bump on Ben McGlynn. Mention of contact between Luke Parker and Mitch Hallahan in 3rd quarter (I haven't heard anyone mention this before) but dismissed as unavoidable. No mention of Franklin.

I think Port will beat Hawthorn in their match with the Hawks missing players.

Looks like Chappy will miss on Friday. He always killed us when he played for the Cats.

The interesting thing willl be how you fit Mitchell and Rohan in . Both would have been considered part of our best 22 at the start of season but short of replacing Tom D with Pyke , I dont know who you would replace.

I wonder if we could take this Essendon discussion to a separate thread? It will run for a while I think.
