Seriously Matt, Ludwig can say whatever he wants about whoever he wants. If you're allowed to continuously and repetitively post the same drivel ad nauseum, the rest of RWO is permitted to disagree with you.
I, for one, am somewhat over your Sunrise worship. RWO is a FOOTBALL forum ... primarily a Swans one. Sunrise has almost nothing to do with either of those things. Please, give it a rest!!!!
Oh, and cut the cr@p about that "brilliant sunrise team" ... they sacked Mel! & I personally enjoyed watching her more than Koch (& her voice was far less annoying!! (though I do like Kochie's financial tips)
I'll pay tribute to the two Swans presidents who have stood up to Eddie. I'll pay tribute to the RWO posters who object to Eddie. I'll pay tribute to Plugger who threw crutches at Eddie. I will not be dictated to by you to whom you feel I, or anyone else, should pay tribute to.
Until tonight, I thought only Eddie could get me annoyed enough to post like this. Apparently not. Please Matt80, enough already!
Eddie's handling of the Today show was was condemned in the TV industry and negatively effected his tenure as CEO of 9. This would not have occurred if Sunrise were not winning the ratings.
Imagine the Power Eddie would have over the AFL if he was Collingwood President and CEO of 9 who had the AFL TV rights deal. This did not occur because Koch and other talented people at 7 stood in Eddie way by winning the ratings war over 9. After losing the ratings war Eddie went back to being an AFL, Variety and Game Show personality.
People on this forum lambast me for being a Koch supporter, but he is a huge reason why Eddie does not wield the power he could have done.
I thought that anyone who stood strongly in Eddies way would be a Red and White hero!Comment

Personally I couldn't give a toss about ratings wars between the TV stations. They all pump out the same low brow mixture of terrible reality TV, simplistic current affairs shows, and those dreadful shows that masquerade as breakfast "entertainment". If Koch were to stand up to Eddie and point out that he confuses his role as media commentator and Collingwood president, and that his grip on the "issues" of the AFL competition is distorted and pumped through with self-interest, I might mildly applaud him for his stand. I think he's done a good job instilling some pride and determination back into a football club with a long and proud history but that had drifted off the rails somewhat before he took over the presidency. The more strong, well run clubs we have in the AFL competition, the stronger the competition is. Otherwise, he's pretty irrelevant as far as I am concerned.Comment

Off course Ludwig can say whatever he likes. I was simply pointing out that David Koch was a ratings rival to Eddie when he was CEO of 9.

You remind me of my 16 year old son always needing to have the last word. He however has an excuse in that he is a teenager.
You need to take your bromance else where this is a footy forum not a media
" personality" fan page. Every one knows your feelings on David Koch and his ability to smite down any opposition with his super talents because you have lambasted us with it repeatedly.Comment

Collingwood has recently targeted NSW teenagers with ability in rival sports, having signed a 15-year-old, Jarrad Witts, who played predominantly rugby union and had minimal experience in Australian football.

Support for the academies from Luke Bruest.
"Hawthorn's NSW product Luke Breust believes player academies such as those held by Sydney and Greater Western Sydney are a vital pathway for players in the state to make it to the AFL."
Breust said players from his home state had a better chance now of finding their way onto an AFL list than when he was a junior.
''There's a few local boys from back home who are in the Giants Academy. They really enjoy it and think it's great for their development to get away from Temora and into Sydney, and have access to quality coaches and resources that can help better their game,'' Breust said.

Extraordinary how the southern clubs held a secret meeting with the AFL to fix up the northern clubs. Like a bunch of consigliere dividing up the spoils. Will leave a bad taste for a long time. The man who laughs has not yet heard the terrible newsComment

Yes that was were the irony came in well I assume that was the purpose of the original poster. My purpose was to highlight that McWhiner and co have been keen to target non AFL talent in NSW for quite a while with some obvious successComment
