Dont understand the calls for Goodes to be rested? Goodes needs to play as much footy as possible, he has been moving better and better each game. He look as if he took a knock last week but IMHO the more footy Goodes plays between now and Sept the better. Not much you can do about rib injuries this time of year, just get a jab on game day and get on with it resting for a week wont do too much and given he is probably missing training sessions game time is critical to his fitness. Would like to see O'keefe get a final hurrah at SCG but only if injury opens a role for him.
Changes for Rnd 21 V St Kilda.

Why the sentiment? ROK is a club champion but that should not mean he gets a guernsey over a better playing youngster. Besides, the game he played in the 2012 GF should be the way he deserves to be remembered. Not a cameo role. Let him run around the ground at half-time and wave to the crowd."Play like you can’t lose."Comment

It really annoys me when people diagnose apparent "injuries" from the sidelines and then think that a week's rest will make a difference.
I trust the Swans medical staff to be professional and make the right call on a player to player basis. As Horse has said the solution to tired players is first to lighten their training load rather than game time.Comment

You have expressed perfectly my sentiments - footy's a tough gig and the Swans haven't gotten to where we are now by giving out games, whatever the reason...Why the sentiment? If Roos was still coaching probably ROK would still be playing. Longmire's approach is less "sentimental" and will give a player a game if he fits the game plan. That's probably the reason why some players probably miss Roos and would like to follow him to Melbourne club (or any club he ends up with).Comment

We're playing for a top 2 spot and opportunities to win flags don't just come along every year. So there's no room for farewell games in my view. Different story if they decide that he can help us win games.Bloods

Agreed.
Also different story if we were sitting in 12th spot with no chance of making the finals. Sentiment towards a champion of the club would then be appropriate.Comment

Plus ROK is getting a pretty good sendoff from Mrs ROK.The man who laughs has not yet heard the terrible newsComment

I think Biggs will start and Towers will be the sub, Biggs seemed pretty comfortable in the back six last year when he came in.Comment
