I thought a common cause of PCL injuries was a knock to the knee. That's why they used to be seen as a ruckman's injury and the centre bounce arrangement was modified to reduce the incidence of knees clashing together at speed. When Goodes first injured his PCL, way back in 2004, it was at a centre bounce as a ruckman.

Interesting how we all see things differently. I would find it neither silly nor obscene to see ROK get one last game with the seniors. Given all the circumstances I don't think it will happen but I think it would be very fitting and would love to see it.

I agree, if Jones is fit enough he's definitely ahead of Hewitt at this stage.

But let's not forget Smith, hopefully he's ready to come back this week.

            In which case :

            Mitchell for Kennedy
            Smith for Bird

Then it gets interesting with how the other limping Swans pull up and whether there will need to be other changes.

Horse, being Horse, will want to keep the changes to a minimum, especially 2 week out from finals.

Scans revealed no damage to JPK's hammy...thank f&*k for that! Was extremely nervous clicking on the swans link on twitter and waiting for the page to load. Definitely won't play this week though you'd think.

Josh Kennedy has been cleared of a tear in his hamstring and will be managed conservatively by the club

oh and here's the above mentioned link...

Conservative approach for Kennedy - sydneyswans.com.au

oh and here's the above mentioned link...
Not necessarily. Club says conservative approach during week and assess later in the week if he needs a week off. GREAT NEWS

Imagine if he plays and hurts it though...especially on the fast deck at Etihad! Surely has to have a week off!

                      I just wanted to say:

                      Out: Bird

First time I have ever said that I think.... And hopefully the last

Wonder how that would work positionally...that's a lot of defenders to play in one team!

Would love to see any of Gaz/Mal/Ramps push up onto the wings and into the midfield.

Off topic but i still can't believe the doggies passed up the opportunity to even rookie list Rampe...must be kicking themselves now!

JPK is a beautiful man, but SHEESH he's got his grumpy-old-bugger-weighing-up-his-next-flutter-at-the-dishlickers face on in the picture from that story.

I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

Just saw that Fyfe out for two weeks for Freo. I don't like the sound of that and I'm sure Ross wouldn't be too concerned as it will have him coming in fresh for the finals and potentially us in week 1!
